Thats great, Hypno! And I'm sure you're right about the priorities we give to others ....

I do still have a range of sizes, as I have lost weight, but over the summer, as I gain confidence of staying at my new weight, I will pass on some of my bigger stuff rather than keeping it "just in case".....as all that does is tell me that it will be ok to lose control of my eating again :o

It is all quite an emotional thing at times - we think that clearing out is just a clear out of "things" but actually it involves a whole lot of soul searching at times!

It's so comforting to hear you say this Hypno! When the queen of decluttering admits it's a damn hard process it gives the rest of us hope!

Following up the closet clean out of a few weeks ago, my trip to find some replacement cloths that fit resulted in some new underwear and little else! Emotions took over and the entire afternoon was spent trying to cope with being a new (albeit smaller) but still in between size!:o

Love the link to the capsule wardrobe it's motivation to get back into the myriad of suits hanging in the closet that are still too small, but classic enough that they won't be out of date when they fit again!

Oh yes, I have experienced a whole range of emotions while doing all this over the last few months......today is a "no, just get rid of it" day. TBH, if I could, I would dump even the stuff that is currently in the charity shop pile, just to get it out of my space and out of my head :o

Ok. I get it. It is subliminal isn't it?

Uncluttering. Capsule Wardrobe. Not prioritising self. Running.Shred.

Am I paranoid or is Hypno just a frontman to get these messages across to me.

Unbelievable accounts of non stop activity and industry fueled by running, self motivation, the odd coffee and MSE friendship....no..not possible.

Hmm I think there is some subliminal messaging happening on this thread - I appear to be decluttering my tiny flat, although it has been partly caused by not being able to find the gadget to remove the halogen bulbs from my totally extinguished kitchen lights and to get my food shopping in my cupboards.
