  • 3 - did you get a PM from a guy asking you to vote for his kids? I did but I can't make the link work (and I am a teeny bit dubious as to what I am clicking on!).

    I haven't - who's it from? A long term MSE'r?

Havve you had your prize? Mine's here, but I haven't tried it on yet.

Beenie Huge hugs. I agree with getting your MP involved, and show the screen shot to someone more important at the housing office. Stooooopid cheeky bint! (Her, not you of course!)

V had her now usual 3am walk about, then woke at 6 as OH was going to work, but went back to sleep with me til 8. :D She's out with MIL now, so me, J & L are out shopping for a school bag and then we're all ready for back to school. :j

Hugs for Beenie :( I can imagine how much harder it is to do what people are suggesting than to just read it... but ugh.

OH just mailed me this conversation they just had -

Me: 'I'm going to let your butt air out for a minute now.'
    E: 'Clouds...'
    E: 'Butt in the clouds!'
    meaningful pause
    E: 'Peenyus in the clouds.'
E: 'Up very high in the sky.'

From an MSE'r who has had an account for a while but not a prolific poster.

Forgot to answer you the other day. Yes we had our prize. I am umming and ahhing over whether to keep it or sell it on. It is not as girly as I had first imagined and we might get some use out of the parasol (we don't have one currently). But I am not sure if I would use the rest of the accessories.

They don't sell parasols to match my stokke any more :(

I'm a great believer in "you're only as old as the woman/man you feel", which makes me a lovely youthful 30, and makes MFD older than me. :p

    I'm 29 then :jBetter than 37 anyway :D
Well DD1 did so well in her exams I am really proud of her considering she missed quite a few months of school last year when she was poorly. She has her place a college for the nursing course she wants so she is very relieved :D

:T Congrats to your DD1 on her results and her college place, especially as she missed alot of time unwell :D

You'd have to have all those interviews pretty close together to have not had a job offer from the first ones before the last interviews. And I doubt anyone is amazing enough to get 24 job offers from 24 applications.

We all know Glam is :D

There's a forest accessory kit, BNIB in the other colourway for £59.99 BIN on ebay.

Are kiddicare or anyone selling the old colour parasols off on the cheap? They had the old colour footmuffs on offer a couple of weeks ago (but not red!).

    I already have a parasol............................... ;)

But it's gorgeous Benjamin's stuff so if you're selling it let me know and if you're not I don't really need it either.

At my office. It seems my minion has managed to upset the cleaning lady again - my waste paper basket hasn't been emptied from last week :rotfl:But I'm getting some work done and that is always a good thing.

Im an English teacher in a huge secondary comp (1600 pupils).. well...

Got my class results and 84% got A*-C!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek: Just to put that in perspective, the national average (meaning all schools inc private, etc) is 60%. :p:D
And just to show off even more... 15 of those students dont have English as their first language at home. Im very proud of them and myself! The rest of the dept averaged around 50-60% :D:D

Congrats pinkp on DD results too.

:T No idea what 16yo's (still getting used to 16) school average is, but she was in the higher echelons of her school, which has surprised me a little as although she worked fairly hard in the end, she's not the person you'd expect to push herself as much as she can, and usually gets her school reports as 'must try harder, daydreams too much'. Natural talent and intelligence maybe, or she's following in her dads footsteps there :rotfl::cool::o:rotfl:
Congratulations MOTM's DD - such a relief when they have done well. Is she going on to FE?
College :D Unlikely to be the same one as your DD though :o Psychology and Sociology will be her main subjects.

MOTM - well done to 16yo on her results. Hope you have a great meal.

I'm amazed the amount of food 16yo eats, she's not the size of a house. Must have a very high metabolism.

Have a year off from GCSE's next year until we all do it again in 2012.

Kamari - on the beachy side of the island.

I always promised myself that when I went back I would stay in Thira but a chat with Bruno convinced me that it probably isn't the best place with an adventurous 18 month old!

We will visit the caldera side though and I am planning on a trek up the volcano now I have an all-terrain buggy - it just seemed easier to be based on the more child-friendly side!

I got us a great deal on a 2 bedroomed maisonette at the Afroditi Venus Beach Hotel and Spa - because we have DSS with us having at least 1 bedroom was important to us, the 4 of us cramped up in a single hotel room wouldn't have made for the most relaxing time for us adults IYSWIM ;)

I haven't seen any being sold off 3.
