Aww Mel that last pic is just fab! They look adorable. Glad you all had a good day.
Off to bed myself, am shattered!!0 -
I am home alone without my bubba and husband and tomorrow is my first official day back at work
. Hubby has stayed on with H at his Mum's but I can't believe how much I miss them. I put H to bed then headed on home to ours as I have an early start in the morning but being so far away from him is horrid. It's daft because he would only be in bed now anyway and I'll see him tomorrow afternoon.
We've been away for our third wedding of the year and I am well and truly wedding'd out now.
I don't know if anyone remembers the Hen Do I went on where there was a BBQ with no veggie food, well you may not be surprised to here that the veggies options at the associated wedding left a lot to be desired. It was a buffet on each table, so each table had a big bowl of salad, potatoes etc. The 'protein' part was all on one plate so the veggie option of quiche was served on top of rare, bloodied beef. Delightful! I made a fuss and requested a different piece of quiche from the kitchen. The evening food was a bloomin hog roast with no veggie option! Charming! We've only been friends for 15 years and I've only been veggie all that time (and so was at least one other guest). Rant over .hammyhunter wrote: »I am a litle unsure as I don;t think his seperation anxiety is a bad habit - he is truly distressed to be away from me and I am reluctant to try something which could make it worse.... my head also says that he has had such a bad run with allergies/eczema/pox and now 3 teeth in 2 weeks that it is no wonder he wants what comforts him best - Mummy! I have weaned him down to 1 night time feed so he is not comfort feeding - I am most def confused.com
Thank you Gill, I will sort it out tommorow. Thank you all for thinking of me - much appreciated x
I am a complete softy and figure that if my little boy wants mummy cuddles in the night then it is a chance for extra snuggles for me. I'm also happy to feed him in the night if he wakes up as I think that sometimes adults wake in the night for a drink so why wouldn't babies? I know that is easy for me to say though as on the whole H is a good sleeper and I might feel differently if he wasn't.
Loving all the gorgeous pics on here over the weekend.
My mum has bought this for H and it looks fab!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Mel - they both look adorable. Glad you had a lovely day
Off to bed too - I've been very domesticated and just ironed some blouses and sewed a button on my blouse  (can't remember the last time I had the sewing kit out
) A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Aw mel the outfit kai is wearing is the same one Jake wore for his, and T's is v similar to Jas's dress too! Glad you all had a good day, xx0

GISI I am also outraged on your behalf, that's really inconsiderate. I generally tell people when planning a wedding to "forget the guests; it's YOUR day" but not to the extreme where a guest wouldn't be able to eat! It's a bit like only providing alcoholic drinks when there are people attending who are tee total, you wouldn't do it would you?!
That car looks fab though

Lovely pics Mel, glad you had a lovely day.
Hubby and I are doing the ironing in shifts so I am catching up quickly on my break before I sort out lunches for tomorrow.
Might be back later, might not

Mel - so glad you had a good day and they both look gorgous
GISI - that's apalling! It's so inconsiderate to invite someone to a wedding and then not have anything to feed them.....and who in their right mind would put veggie quiche on a plate with beef! I'm not a veggie and I wouldn't eat quiche that had been in the beef juice!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

There's one on 'My baby won't let me put him down'
It says about picking up baby to calm him down but once he is calm but he back down again so that he knows you are there. If cries, pick him but put him down once he's calm. Keep doing this until he realises that you are still there but its OK for him to be on his own.
She goes on about the 3 day magic and that it takes about 3 days to change these things.
Maybe a combination of the 2 - or just holding his hand when he wakes in the night so he knows you are there but he also learns its sleep time and not bed time??
I'm no SuperNanny or Baby Whisperer so feel free to tell me to shut up
But you are a Mummy with experience and I am grateful :Ahammy, Baby Whisperer have free forums for those who are cheap to buy any books

(we tried BW for a while until it got to the point where it just wasn't working and totally doing my head in worrying about A time, Sleep time and shh/pat...so then we went to CC which pretty much worked instantly with only a night here and there needing retweaking :T)
A lot of people though think thst CC doesn't work with seperation anxiety

If at almost 9 months you have frequent hourly wake ups - I am not sure you would say that!
