That first conversation is brilliant isn't it

I'm amazed at some of the words Katie comes out with as I can't remember her hearing them or how she knows how to use them.

Her phrase of the day "I don't want to" with a grumpy look on her face.

She is in the process of making and decorating paper trumpets, she even got the sellotape out of the drawer and attempted to stick them together herself.

DH and I don't really do going out alone, mum looks after Katie so much I feel guilty asking her to have her in the evenings as well.

MDW - where did you get your ideas for keeping LO busy? You always sound busy and organised! I've been looking at a book of ideas and tips on development. LO seems to fall in between baby and fully blown glueing and sticking toddler - any tips/places to point me in the direction of?
r.mac i was going to leave her with mil - it is a 2 hour car journey each way and oh though having the baby with us would cramp dd style and we should spend some quality time with her.

    Hooray for yr conversation

hope you didn't think I was prying. I found wearing two tops, one for pulling down, one for pulling up, and having a scarf really helpful. And I hadn't thought about your older DD - I hope she enjoyed some one-one time with her dad. MIL's are a mixed bag aren't they. Mine is very mixed, but always a bag:rotfl:

My Mum just told me she'd pay for my driving test :D

She said not to tell anyone... And to see if my Dad would cough anything up as well... I wouldn't hold my breath where he's concerned... But it really helps us out!!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Rmac - I just get the paints and stuff out and let her get on with it, the trumpets were her idea, she loves watching Mr Maker on CBeebies so a lot of her ideas are her attempts at what he does.

The cooking stuff, I just involve her what I'm making for breakfast, lunch and tea the cakes and things are my attempt making healthier/cheaper snacks for her, she's more likely to eat them if she's had a hand in it and I love to bake :)

She's just as obsessed with sticking and glueing, bulk bought foam stickers to remove the need for glue.

I just watch what she's doing and respond to it - like last week she was trying to construct her own lacing cards so I got some for her.

    Yay for your mum Krystal.

    Go Jack!

Don't overdo Glam, have a rest too.

On the weekends, I've just been letting him drop off on me or actually napping with him in my bed so it made a change for him to go off on his own.

he slept for 2hrs so I've been trying to get the Jumperoo back in the box for storage but I can't get one of the toys out and it won't fit in the box

Also got rid of a load of boxes and got round to putting the Bumbo and Door bouncer back in boxes and in the garage.

Krystal - great news about your test and the scan yesterday :)

Hammy - that pic of D is adorable. :)

Boots are doing the C&G and Heinz toddler meals for £1 and spend a fiver a get £5 off No.7. New mascara here as J has 'lost' 2 of mine!

Hammy - lovely pic :D we have a rocker almost the same as that, when did you start using it with D?

I hope the ribena came out . We have had the rocker for a while now and have periodically brought it out but now is the first time that D is really able to sit on it steady and hold on. He loves it!

It should be fine Hammy - I've had 2 prams in the boot before but if not I'll just bring T's little pushchair. Where are you based?

It's a long journey so it will be good to have someone to travel with :)

:jThank you! I am nowhere near Manchester :rotfl:. I am inbetween Gloucester and Hereford but would like to meet some distant cousins in Manchester so will catch a train to Manchester :D

EA, how is Lily's eczema now?

It depends on how she's feeling. If she's having a whingy day then its alot worse. It has gone down alot since using the Oilatum, Derma 500 & the steriod cream for when its bad.

She scratches it alot though, so im having to cut her nails really short :(

Does D have Eczema? I have a terrible memory so not to sure if you said he has.

Glam, we need to fit Lilys blackout blind too. But its way to big for the window. I dont trust myself to cut it down to the right size though :rotfl:
