I saw a photo of Molly on SS's FB, in her bedroom/play room? and it looked like a photo from the ikea catalogue  I recognised it all:D

All Molly's furniture is from Ikea :rotfl: She still doesn't have her own room because Husband's crap is still stored in the "nursery" - the Ikea storage/changing table was supposed to be a temporary measure cause it's cheap and easy and we could sell it on.

That's a corner of our living room you saw :o

you try and have a nice afternoon in work Elle and hopefully your replacement will be a little faster today :)

Thankyou :) I've given up on asking her - asked one of the others above her last thing yesterday so I expect the info I need will be sitting in my inbox by now :o Feel bad doing it cos I'd hate it if it was done to me, but it's info I need to get on with my job and I know full well it's only a three minute job (to run a report *I* set up and for her to forward me the results)

Must go rescue Rhys - he's lurking precariously close to the front door and Mum's about to arrive to pick him up! :p

I think Katie's furniture comes from Argos and Ikea, everything else in there we already had, really must finish it off, tidy it up and take some pictures.

    Hope work goes ok Elle

Hello all. My tasting was good and I have made an executive decision regarding may cake business. I have been umming and aaaing over renting somewhere, but i've decided instead that I am going to just put a new kitchen in this house  and hope that they let us stay here for quite some time! I would need approx £1000 up front for a rental and I would ratenr put that towards a kitchen in our house I think. BH if the kitchen was done I would want to stay here long enough so that we could buy it at some point when that was possible for us.

So, does anyone know where is good to get a kitchen from?! I need it to be reasonably cheap, but I need someone (reliable) to fit it also. Any recommendations?

SJ what about the varde freestanding units from ikea? that way you can take them anywhere, then all that is needed is plumbing as they have integrated worktops IYSWIM?

Hello? Are you the same SJ who was saying yesterday that there was no point doing any work on your house because it is a rental???

    Bit of a turnaround!

How bad is it working with what you have currently?

How far away are you from buying your own place?

What do you call reasonably cheap?

  • I love my Ikea kitchen, SJ. It cost about £1500 (not including appliances) but they charge a fortune to fit it so it might be better to get someone else to do that. My in-laws fitted ours and did a fab job!

I think the trouble with this might be that the landlord may not be over the moon if SJ rips out the old kitchen then takes the new units with her when she moves out :p! I could be wrong though.

I do think they are lovely units though!
