Hi all, and yaaaaay for Rhys' progress
so pleased
I like Corsas 3!, really good cars I think - just a bit small for families, or 6'5" men. I learned to drive in one.
Playing around with E in the nursery earlier, and he did an over-exuberant jump and really crushed his lip between teeth and cot bar... it bled hugely while he wailed in pain and panic
we pressed ice-cubes to it and cuddled him etc and after a bit got him calm enough to sit on my lap watching a youtube of a steam train going over a level crossing*. He stared at it for a while, then casually looked up at me and stuck his lower lip out (bloody and swollen) and said "Kiss it."! Waited for me to kiss it, then went back to his video
*his current obsession is videos of trains and preferably level crossings with lights and ding-ding-ding noises...*roll eyes*0 -
3 - don't be daft, I'm glad not everyone has to got through it, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
Bruno - it must be something with them Katie's obsessed with trains too. Ouch for his lip.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Alfie is the 8th but that's ok, maybe she'll go early and they'll have the same birthday. I hear February is a good month for going early(and in my opinion not inconsiderate to post, it's always nice to have good news to balance out the bad

I came to the conclusion that a higher power had decided that we were going to be such fab parents that we needed to help a child who'd not had a good start. IYKWIM.
That's a really sweet way of thinking about it :A And Som was 7 years waiting for Tahlie so there really is hope for people who struggle!
Awww Elijah is just so sweet!!
I made savoury muffins today. Well, I tried to! One lot were ok but the other lot were more like bread rolls?! Nice enough (with butter) but couldn't honestly call them muffins. Maybe next time I'll follow a recipe! :rotfl:0 -
SJ - I'm attempting savoury scones tomorrow - not made scones in years should be interesting.
It took about the same time for me.
It's nice to know that it's not all an urban legend - I know someone who struggled for years and now got a baby kind of thing - you get soooooo fed up hearing those stories.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Wow, it must be so hard trying for all that time. I found it hard with Alfie and that was no time at all in comparison! (15 months)
Right, off to bed now. Got a couple coming to me in the morning for cupcake tasting so need to be up and with it early to get myself decent before they get here.

CAFC i lost your quote but re. Changing Rooms
my only preference is that the wallpaper is cheap
I can't get away with just painting which is a shame, and cba lining it all and then painting (ends up being just as expensive as pretty paper), would rather just get some plain paper in some neutral colour.
Soooo, have begrudgingly paid for a subscription to Homeswapper, i keep registering for te free trial but you can't see all the homes like that, so paid £8ish for 3 months, and someone has approached me already but she lives in one of those loooooooooooong streets with a tiny backyard. I do want to move but i have to be realistic - once i moved somewhere like that (it's a bit rough, although only 5 mins walk from here lol) - then there's slim chance of ever getting another swap to another house from there.
I've seen a house round the corner from my mother, but she doesn't want mine she wants a 3 bed in a MING area, so i'm hoping if i find someone from the MING area to want mine - then we could do a 3-way swap... Council list isn't showing anyone thoughAll the 3 bed people want 4 beds, and the few that would have a 2 bed, want rural. However i am happy to move into a 2 bed as long as the area is ok... then i know i would find a swap into a 3 eventually.

Benjamin was talking and singing to himself for over an hour tonight (I think he was overtired). At one point I went up just to check he hadn't done a poop (which sometimes keeps him awake) and whilst I was giving him a cuddle he was putting his head on my shoulder and then 'popping up' to look at me and laughing. We both ended up in fits of giggles
I have done 20 mins of Wii Fit and 30 mins of ironing tonight and I feel much better for not spending the evening sat on my arrisplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Well since you said that, i took a pic
Yeah he's loving it, but i'm notI am liking the break away from the routine but it's hard to keep him happy and try not to let him out there all the time with the moron neighbours, he plays out a fair bit but he'd be out all day if he had his way.
