MFD - agree with 3 (where have you been BTW? :naughty:) about getting reasoanble time off for interviews. I know when our team was being disbanded we were allowed to take time off. Can't remember what your situation is though.

MFD Do you actually know what your situation is yet? ;) (I haven't been anywhere btw, i've had a busy weekend and have been trying to catch up on my phone, but it's too much of a faff to post! I did actually go out yesterday afternoon/night in RL to the pub and had a dirty kebab on my way home - it's been so long since that happened).

3 - the place I work you would have probably ended up with a Chevrolet Matiz as a your courtesy roller skate - nothing fits in the boot of it.

Last time I got a Citreon C1, I felt like I was driving round in a noddy car! :rotfl:

Just had sad news. My friend has found out today that her first attempt at IVF has failed. :( They were so hopeful, 9 out of 10 eggs that they took had 'taken', she had two put back in, and they've failed. I know it's only their first attempt, but I haven't got a clue what to say to her when I see her.
It makes me so  that people who don't deserve children are popping them out annually, and she, who will be the most fab Mummy ever is struggling. :(

MDw - beat me to it!!! I was gonna post that from ACAS but I have a feeling it's a case of contract coming to an end rather than being made redundant.

3 - just give your friend a hug, that's all I wanted when mine failed, if she wants to talk fine if not also fine. Don't say anything about the 8 she has left she'll still be devastated about the failure.

    I don't mind part-ex'ing with a Henry if you'd prefer!

We were at my friends house today, we had our first babies together 13 years ago . She also has an almost 4yo boy and a girl 10 weeks older than V. L was playing nice girly games with the little girls doing ring-a-ring-a-roses, and 4yo boy was looking bored and changing the words to ring-a-ring-a-poo-head! :rotfl: L so wants a fun little brother now.

Thanks MDW. I find it so hard to imagine how she's feeling - I suppose unless you've gone through it you have no idea. :( But you give us hope. :D

Yup it's crap, especially when some only have kids to get more benefits and bigger houses.

I sometimes feel guilty for being able to have many, but then realise that's silly, especially when I see how well they are turning out, how hard I've worked for them and how proud they make me.

I read earlier how some social service cases take a year to resolve and the children continue to suffer for that period. Slight digression, but it's in agreement with your statement that some people just don't deserve kids :(

That's why if Katie hadn't come along we would have gone down the adoption route.

I came to the conclusion that a higher power had decided that we were going to be such fab parents that we needed to help a child who'd not had a good start. IYKWIM.

Silly as it is, I feel a little guilty for having no problem conceiving. :o

I heard the Social Services stuff on the news today and it doesn't surprise me - the seem to be so underfunded/staffed.

Our SW is coming out tomorrow, it'll be interesting to see if he's as good as he was last week when his boss was with him. :rotfl:
