I know you won't like to think of it, but they are getting a lot older now. I know my circs are completely different but I never went out with my family from about the age of 13/14!! Obviously you sound like your family is quite close so may well want to all be going out together for a fair while yet. I was just think that maybe an 8 seater would be sufficient for you:)
xx
It's a fair point. I'm not ready to let them go just yet thoughI suppose a smaller vehicle will suffice and if we do all go anywhere, then we have the two cars. More expensive fuel wise, but not a concern at this moment in time.
Thanks for your view on things.0 -

Not sure about how it'd work with E but I've been giving Thomas normal porridge for a good 6 weeks or so now, it's a fraction of the price of baby rice. I use a tablespoon of porridge then add an ice cube or two of whatever fruit mush is in the freezer (after my cooking frenzy this week, enough for about a month now!) or mash some banana into it. It's a coarser texture than baby rice so you might want to blitz it a bit if it's too much for him.
Ah, Kindof, just seen your reply to Susan. Oh well! That leaves fruit then, but banana does mush down very well, perhaps mixed with his usual milk might be idea to the consistency of baby rice?0 -
I'm getting my money's worth out of my free dental treatment lol. He finished off my root canal today and then I'm back again next Friday for another 3 fillings
I blame T - I've never had this many problems with my teeth! The dentist says it's the constant snacking I did while pregnant!

Just to warn others. Do NOT google french woman with 8 babies. But she goes even further. She's not just saying she thinks they should do it - she's saying they should be obliged by law to do it. With absolutely no recognition that it isn't always possible.
She's being silly. Too many years being photographed has obviously left her blinkered.0 -
It's possible - I did, but then I have a supportive workplace and we had loads of frozen breastmilk and I live close enough to the office that I could come home for one feed a day as well as feeding at 8am and 5:30pm. I imagine she has a similarly relaxed working environment, I picture her turning up with a nanny or two and being able to feed during lighting changes etc.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I edited to clarify my thinking, Susan - I think she probably lacks the imagination to realise that not everyone has the luxury of being able to afford extended maternity leave. And in the US six months *is* extended. She probably also doesn't realise that not everyone can breastfeed at all. This thread has really opened my eyes to the sorts of things that can cause problems for new parents. I worried over establishing breastfeeding but it was really an amorphous "people have problems" sort of worry, I didn't know any of the specifics. And I think of people who've worked so hard to keep going with nipple shields or who've stopped BFing because they weren't satisfying the baby's hunger or s/he stopped latching on or the latch was incorrect and causing everyone pain and frustration - and much as I'm glad Gisele Bundchen isn't posting her inane macrobiotic meditative crap all over the PT I think she could have done with a healthy dose of advice from it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

If you're going to be transferring from another halifax account I would recommend doing in in the branch when you go in so you don't have to tackle their call centre!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
 Is it a gluten thing? I believe millet has either little or no gluten in so maybe a millet porridge would work?
Im not sure, but it was hell lol, same thing happened when I gave him hungry baby milk one day instead of his colic milk
I'll look into that and try him on it
