I'm intrigued now! I had to go and stalk. Is it the Na Ro one?

She has a baby Oscar born in June 2008 - so she's before my time on the PT.
That's nadnad. She posted for about a year but then she got a job and stopped posting. She did one post about a month ago to say she's started a blog.

    Morning.

I did manage to clear the spare room yesterday. Took me four hours, with a break in between to go to the tip and asda for some storage.
It was disgusting, with absolutely no floor space. Even OCD OH was mighty impressed when he got home. As myself and cleaning don't usually go, it had to be bad and really winding me up to tackle it.

Alex was a good boy last night, bed at 8, bottle at 2.45am, back down until 6.30am. Is now a master caterpillar / frog type crawler. But likes playing with the door, but does not like getting his fingers stuck under it.:o

One week left in work, then a week off. Have been trawling the t'internet for days out ideas, discounts and vouchers. Looks like a trip to watch Toy Story 3D is first on Joe's list, but MSE mummy will make it an Orange Wednesday one.

MFD - Hope the interview went very well.

Also asked my cousin to get the Leapfrog activity table and megablocks for me as he is some kind of manager at one of the Asda Living Stores in Manchester some where (Can you tell I listen?) and he says they are still awaiting stock of the items that are supposed to be featured in the Asda baby event.

I know JAM was looking at getting one, as she lives near to a Living Store, think he may work in Altrincham, but could be and probably am wrong.

When I am changing E's nappy, we use wipes and then pat him dry with a flannel and then put talc on his bum, its stopped him ever having nappy rash *shrugs*

    Gill - No problem :)

So am I the only person admitting to using talc then? I see no problems with it (on a boy) if its put into the parents hand away from baby and then gently rubbed on his bum

Or I would like tips on changing his bum them? cos the wipes make his bum moist so it needs drying with soemthing
I never dried Alice but we did elimination communication and at home almost exclusively used cotton wool or flannels with water so not really comparable. I thought it was poo that caused nappy rash.

ETA: And as long as you are happy with what you are doing, don't worry about being the only one who does it.

nope i use it occasionaly too, not every nappy change normally after a shower to get all the little creases like her armpits ect dry, x

Hope mel is ok this morning?

I've got a child free day :j lol, i had my friends little girl on monday cos shes struggling for childcare through summer hols and she's took my two today, have cleaned all downstairs and gonna have some dinner before i start upstairs! x
  • Hiya,

Back at work and I think it went okay. I have a few 'oh I wish I had said that' things swimming in my head but mostly I think I explained myself sufficiently.

He did tell me that I was 1 of a max of 10 to make it to first interview and that he would usually only put 3 through to interview with the Chief Exec so if I get another it is a big deal.

He also said that if I got offered another position in the interim I should give him a call or drop him an email before accepting it.

Prob a 2 week wait now though :(

On the subject of more babies I know OH would really like a little boy but keeps telling me he knows we'll have another girl, I think its his way of avoiding dissapointment lol. Though he loves his little girl and know hed be happy either way. On that front only a few more weeks to go before we officially start trying for no 2 :D I just hope it doesnt take another 6 years and/or ivf again. Anyone know what the chances are if my AF hasn't returned yet, I really dont want to give up BF yet.
When I was pregnant with C I know D really wanted a boy and he was convinced she was going to be a boy... To the point of constantly referring to her as "he" When she was born and they said it was a girl I asked him if he was disappointed and he said "Do you know, I thought I would be but I'm totally not!" And even though this time is supposed to be our last stab at getting a boy... He said he thinks it'll probably be a girl and he's cool with that... :)

And having a baby kick starts your fertility I think... 6 years it took for me to catch with Aimee and Caitlyn was the first time we didn't use protection... This one was about 3rd month... My friend who is a couple of weeks more pregnant had IVF for her daughter (the same age as C) and this one is completely unplanned and unexpected...

You can still ovulate without periods too... :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

WM - I got an Activity table from Oldham. The Manchester fort store had none so I called the Oldham branch and they had had 10 (wow lots!) delivered so she put one aside for me. Altrinham was my next try....bit gutted I missed out on the Boots ones though - people were getting three for £17.50 on a glitch

Huge vibes for Poppie and wee James

Well done MFD - waiting is the worst part

Erm - any tips for having a boy much appreciated :rotfl:OH now has 3 girls and says he wouldn't be disappointed as he knows where he is with girls but he'd love a boy to play footie and golf with (although I know girls can do both of those :p). I'd like one of each too really but who knows. We are not TTC at the mo (cos AF has not reappeared here yet either :p though the doc said 1 in 100 get pg if not using contraception while BF) but we are not preventing IYKWIM.

First post since we got MOTM news so congrats to you both.:j

Sure there was something else but there ya go....

Quick question - I'm going to try and get C back in her own room in 2 weeks when OH back on lates (so I can have a lie in!). The main thing worying me is that she seems to feed lots at her first few wakes (prob before 12) so I am worried that she will be straving if I don't feed her. Do I just make her go cold turkey? I'm dreading it and I love her being in with us but I know she gotta go at some point and she is nearly one now

Sorry for the mega post - hugs to all and a special one for Mel xxx
My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil

You think thats bad! you'd be lucky to find a studio flat or rent a room for that around here! I keep telling OH we need to move to near my Mum in Derbyshire as we could get a big 3 bed for what we pay for our one bed.

 Well i wont be moving to near you then :p

DH doesn't want to leave Portsmouth, so we have decided to move to right at the other end of the city over the hill. So we're out of the way but still here.
They have massive houses there :D

When are you thinking of TTC the next one Som? We're onto our 3rd month of TTC now, nothing compared to what you waited though.
First baby took 3 months, then Lily took 2 months. So if this one is longer im instantly going to be worried :o

I read a Duo Fertility leaflet y'day that said your at peak fertility in your teens and very early 20's, and then it starts to decline.
If a teenager who wanted a baby saw that would think its important they have a baby asap.

MFD, good luck for the interview :)

Question: For the past two days i have given Lily apple Puree, and both days she's been sick after eating it. Should i be concerned?
