In our PCT 'They' don't recommend using Johnsons at all - they blame the increase in skin complaints on it.

We used Johnsons a few times, Lily now has Eczema. She was destined to get it anyway because me and Felix have crap skin. But i think the Johnsons bought it on a little.

Also, i used the Johnsons shampoo on her and she got cradle cap. I know it was the shampoo as i onyl ever washed the top part of her hair (thats where people stroked it and got it greasy) and now she only has cradle cap on the top of her head.

It wont go away permently either :( Its gone right down, but if she's stressed her eczema and cradle cap flare up.

Aparently Boots have reduced all their Bright Stars pram toys to 80p, someone on fb just told me :D

I never put my phone number down either, and I always say that I do not want to be contacted by any other organisation, I strongly suspect that they have ignored that i do not want to be contacted, got my name and address and then found my phone number from that but how would you prove it?
As long as you tell them to remove you from their list they are required to. Also register with the telephone preference service.

I need to talk to someone but don't know who is best....the doctor or the Health visitor..or maybe dh, I don't know! I am very tempted to tell you guys, but don't feel I can because you are real and I don't want to feel judged:( The doctor asked me if I wanted counselling when I got my medication....maybe I should take up that offer when I go back next week??

    xx

I've never heard our Violent swear either... And it's a favourite in this house too... Although I don't leave it in the cot now because she just starts playing with it when I want her to sleep... I switch it on and put it on top of the chest of drawers...

My Aunt came over today... I love her and my cousins to pieces... But the 10yo doesn't half get on my wick sometimes... He CONSTANTLY winds Aimee up, or bosses her, or repeats what I'm saying when I ask her to do something... Can't say anything though lol... I was kind of hoping they'd take Aimee back with them for a sleep over... We've been invited to a BBQ tomorrow night and can't get a babysitter... We'd have gotten away with taking Caitlyn asleep in her buggy, but can't really do that with Aimee... Never mind ay...

I also have the baby prison here... Caitlyn loves it with the tent on, she's been bumbling in and out of it since we set it up... I put the balls from the ball pool in there (not enough space to have both up!) but they all keep falling out between the bars so I'll probably just put them away and stick the ball pool up the garden when the weather's nice... I also emailed babydan because the poles that hold the top of the tent up are not that secure and we've tied them on... Thinking they might have changed the design and I'll be able to get replacements...

Edit: We're not real Mel, and we don't judge. If it will make you feel better we're all here to listen and help if we can :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Since we're on the subject, why do people use all these baby toiletries? Not saying you shouldn't but I've always been puzzled by it. OH's mum bought us some Johnson's baby bath when Alice was born. I think I've used about half the bottle now - I use it to clean the toilet. She has had bubble bath a couple of times but other than that I've never found she needed anything other than water.

EA- H has cradle cap on the top of his head too and we have never used shampoo on him.

Mel- we're here if you want to vent, and you can always delete it later if you like.

I know which things Bounty have signed me up to as they have my surname down completely wrong.

I just worked out that its cheaper to buy the johnsons wipes from sainsburys rather than asda.

Asda, 6 pack of wipes £5

    Sainsburys 4 pack of wipes £2.28, X2 = 8 packs for under a fiver :D:D:D:money:

If someone already knew that then ignore me...:o

Edit: Susan, i know what you mean. Felix says that they never used it in the past and its fine, but my nan bought us loads saying its what everyone has always used.
I had 3 johnsons boxes as gifts and a bag of johnsons stuff.
I use it for me now, except the baby oil. I have so much of it and i hate oil, it makes me sick.

I think i used it because its what everyone said to use, now we have to used oilatum.

Can't really answer who is best to talk to but have some hugs anyway - it sounds like you need them. :grouphug:

Mel - counselling might be a help to you - having someone neutral to talk to? (And if it doesn't help you don't have to keep it up!) But you can talk to us too if you want! Or go sign up with another mums forum just to ask your question? (but don't leave us ;) )
