I am going to try and not let this turn into a moaning post, but I just wanted to tell you all that you are WRONG! My baby does hate me.
She is approaching 5wks now and has smiled at dh TWICE....she hasn't smiled at me once, even though I am with her about 80% of the time....I passed her over to dh yesterday after I had been holding her for ages and she grinned away at him(for the second time, he said). She barely ever settles when I am holding her, she just claws and scratches me while screaming. I pass her over over to dh and she snuggles up and goes off to sleep, or just lays there staring adoringly up at him.
She also hates the swing, and her dummy. I am trying infacol today instead of the Dentinox colic drops as they don't seem to be working.....I have also ordered some Dr Brown bottles in with the shopping as she is just screaming/in pain every evening from bout 7/8pm until around 11ish:( On top of her being a right miserable grump all day, I am seriously at an all time low:(
Sorry, that did turn into a bit moan:oUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Hope you are ok 3 xx
Mel - I'm sure she doesn't hate you. It's probably because you do 99% of the work, so she used to you and she sees you stressed etc. When Dad has her, he mainly has her for happy play times, so she's more relaxed and smiling.
Another busy day here again with loads of work to do, but if I get it all done I can take tomorrow off - yay!
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0 -

Hello everyone.
I'm back from my sh!tty holidays four days early, i'm absolutely shattered after a 6 hour drive with two distraught children, and I myself, am absolutely f'ing raging.
I'll tell all tomorrow, i'd just logged on to send some important raging emails while my rage was still freshand to open a very large paypal dispute.
I hope you're all okay 3. Sorry to hear it all ended abruptly x x x
Mel- I was going to say similar to Becles. I really hope you find something to help with the colic as I'm sure that will make a big difference.
Quiet day for us here, I hope! I am starting to relish these quiet days as I think they will be few and far between once I go back to work properly in three weeks, plus I have 4 KIT days between now and then as well.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
huge hugs 3 i hope your ok and give the kids a huge hug from me
lady they may send you home if you turn up in PJs lol!
Mel erin was and still is the same with me, but when she is tired or hurt i seem to be the only one who can settle her? she is a little madam who refuses to say mum and will only say dad? but the upside to her is i am the first one up and every morning i get the huge smile and when i lift her she throws her arms around my neck and squeezes, so this makes up for it all!!What's for you won't go past you0 -
SM - I said no to 19th
Who on earth buys a stokke and then sets it low so it is the same height as every other bl00dy pram - MUPPETS!!!Hello everyone.

Mel hun, you know that her 'smiles' are more likely wind at this stage and that a fresh pair of hands always changes a baby's temperament for a short while. You have offered this advice to other mums in the past. I know I would be as upset as you in your position but if you put your non-emotional head on and think what you would tell me if I was in your position then it might help a little?
Have you tried some different types of dummy? Have you tried swaddling her?
Remember - it all changes at 6 weeks...not long to go now

Morning all
We're back from the Lakes now. Had a fab time and the weather wasn't too bad. Lots of washing and unpacking to do now tho, aswell as going to Trafford Centre with my mum and then a filling this afternoonHave I missed anything exciting?
3 - sorry to hear your holiday didn't go well.
Mel - T smiled at DH 5 times before I got one! Even now he gets more than me. I put it down to not seeing as much of him and the time they do spend together being quality time. DH can settle him easier than me too. I think it's because I get more stressed about it and T picks up on it.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Vomiting and diarrhoea struck dd yesterday evening but all well this morning. A bit panicked incase baby gets it so everything has been bleached and dettol surface sprayed to death so far so good. Lovely day till then anyway.

My local pram shop has a Stokke Xplory pushchair, ex display one in a sort of dark bluey colour. Reduced from £599 to £299.
If it wasn't so damn ugly I'd have been tempted by that bargain
Sorry your holiday went bad 3 x0 -
Well we managed to get away with just a big red mark on Benjamins face after last nights tumble.
He is really struggling to get some teeth through though, very hot and tired and poorly bummed and dribbly and wanting tons of cuddles. Have dropped him off at the CM in the hope that the girls will distract him from his pain (summer hols yay!) but feel awful that I can't be there to administer cuddles myself. But I can't have a day off work for every tooth and he isn't 'poorly' as such, or even very miserable, just hot and cuddly.
