Not a good night here either... Hubby woke C at 10pm trying to row with me in bed... Took an hour to settle her... 3am she was awake again... Sent him in to her this time... And then his alarm went off at 5:30 and woke her up... I told him if he went and settled her she'd probably go off but he just sat on the edge of the bed for an age and she properly woke up... Now she's all miserable...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I HATE PERIODS!!!! ... sorry but i do in some much pain right now ..
Have you ever tried codeine? It's the only thing I've ever found effective for period pains.

    Morning lovelies!

Sorry to hear we had some early rising babies this morning. I hope tired mummies manage naps later.

SJ- I hope today goes as well as possible for your parents. Sending positive vibes their way.

I have the midwife coming to talk through m birth notes today, and of course I am most stressed about what she will think about the state of my house :rotfl:.

Hope you feel better this morning, SM. I have found my periods much less painful since I've had H so I hope they stay that way.

Did I mention we're off to Center Parcs in September :D? We're going for FIL's birthday and I am so excited about taking Henry there. He wll love the pool and we're going to get a little bike trailer for him to go in!

I know I should make them but does anyone know where you can get small (ie kid size) plain pizza bases from?

Thanks GISI. Just spoke to mum and they didn't get to bed til 3am after going through paperwork and dad practising what he's going to say (he hasn't got a lawyer). I didn't sleep well either, didn't help it was so warm.
I've just realised I've got some days off booked in August anyway as Mum and Dad are away and I've got no one to look after Katie, I'll dig out the dates.

    ETA - 2, 3, 4, 11, 12 and 13th August.

I can't do the first week in August but can do pretty much any other day.

Beenie and others have you seen this about the cashback thing? (not read it myself yet so don't know if it's good news)

Yep, Longleat. It's only an hour from us so is the perfect getaway. We were planning to go for a few days later in the year, but as it turns out the in-laws are paying for us all plus they will be delighted to look after H so we can have a bit of grown up time.

That article seems to say that Quidco people won't get their money but TCB will, SJ!

  • Maz - Asda used to do small pizza bases made by napolitana (or whatever - that well known brand of tinned tomatoes!).

IMHO they aren't great, a bit cardboardy but the kids always love 'em.

SJ - hope everything goes well today.x

  • GISI - yay on CPs, very jealous, I love the Longleat one.

Have you considered a bike seat rather than a trailer? You really don't feel the weight of a bike seat but the trailers are heavy in themselves and there are some killer hills in Longleat at the best of times.

Also I worry about shaken baby injuries in a trailer - although he will be 10 months or so so he should be alright I guess. The guidance says definitely not under 6 months IIRC.
