I agree, it is so hot today!

I got some mega-Boots bargains today. I would definitely recommend checking out smaller stores as this was my local tiny branch.

I got an economy pack of Pampers size 4 for £2.25, Pampers size 5 carry pack £1.50 and two Huggies carry packs size 5 for £1.50 each. Also loads of jars of food for 15-20p and I got two boxes of baby porridge for 50p each. Also got the last of the Baby Expert toiletries for 50p each but went through as BOGOF so paid £1 for two bodywashes, a foam bodywash and a shampoo :money:. Very happy bunny.

ooo may have to go down to the dinky Boots on the high street then, GISI. Except I don't actually need anything :rotfl:

One benefit of the heat - my laundry was dry in literally less than 2 hours and now a load of nappies should be dry by dinnertime. Love it!

Sad news (highlight to read): kitty died an hour or so ago. DH is going to bury her when he gets home tonight. She was our first animal together (and as an adult!) so is a bit sad, but not unexpected in the least...:(

awww thanks. I feel a bit bad because I don't actually feel that sad? I'm honestly more of a dog person and while of course any animals dying is sad, I never really liked her very much :o. But DH is pretty cut up, bless him, so I'm trying to be supportive. To be really crass, thankfully she had really good timing. :o:o:o

anyway, no more posts about it as I don't want to depress other people! deffo think we'll get the paddling pool out tomorrow, phew!!

    Definitely paddling pool weather!

Are you using disposable nappies while you're away, Aless? Not that I'm suggesting you would take them with you, but just wondered! How's Finn's eating going? Any fab BLW ideas as I feel like Henry's food can be a bit samey. H had raspberries today after lunch, but luckily I had stripped him to his nappy as they were the messiest things ever!

Been over mil house this morning as they were having a sale of some housey bits they do up shabby chic... We ended up buying a bookshelf for t's nursery that i had my eye on, some vintage wooden trains for t and an old trike for when t is older :-D. Another not very Mse day lol!!

GISI Good request for more BLW ideas, I could do with some too.

Later this afternoon me and my friend are meeting our friend who is back from Oz at the mo, we are having a meal at about 5pm so that we can be back to our kiddies before bedtime, I am still working on putting T to bed before he falls asleep on me as Im hoping that will help DH settle him when Im not here.

    Afternoon,

Had a good morning at swimming, Katie can definitely swim about 5 metres now, and gets most frustrated that I have a hand on her to help her keep her position.

New filter and heater on on the pool so just waiting for the water not to be freezing for us to go in.

Just done my shop through my supermarket - Sainsburys was the cheapest, for the first time ever!

Aless - hugs, I've had animals all my life and have never dealt with them going very well.

Katie has just woken up for a 2 hours sleep so I'll just have to go and check the pool then we'll be going for a mess about.

    "See" you later.

Afternoon all. Failed at my attempt at a nap - kept coughing as I drifted off, and waking myself up again. Plus everyone has their music up loud and it is too hot. I did lie in bed for an hour and a quarter though relaxing, which is better than nothing. Plus DH had to deal with the aftermath of all those clemantines yesterday :rotfl:.

Oh, and I got a letter from the tax credits people - they got our credits mega wrong last year, and now owe me £576. DH won't let me look at the bank website on this machine (he has another laptop which only gets used for secure stuff, and not for anywhere that is more likely to get viruses), so will have to check later if it has already been paid in. Will have to be sensible with most of it, and pay off the credit card, but I think i will treat myself to a hair do on Wednesday. Seeing as I have the day of I may as well have a treat :)

Ladybird- not sure if you go but Nigel Slater is going to be filming at the Winch Farmers' Market tomorrow (I never know where to put the apostrophe in Farmers' Market, but since it is a market belonging to multiple farmers I went for after the 's'). We're probably going to head up as I love Nigel and I love the market.

Ooh, no I didn't know. Not sure if we will go or not - DH is working at 5, and we need to fit in allotment, then going to boringstoke to visit the in laws and go swimming before it is time to come home again for him to go to work, so not sure if we will manage to fit in farmers market as well.

We are going to attempt to go swimming at the Aquadrome again, after our attempts to go last time were thwarted by a dodgy fire alarm!

Anyway, best see if I can get any more of the spring clean done while Izzy is asleep, although I'm sure the second I stand up she will wake. i am at that stage where everything is in the middle of the room in the wrong place, and I have to finish cleaning the corner I am working on before I an put everything back together again. Slowly slowly it will all come together though :)

hammy, sorry the paed wasn't more helpful :( I'm confused...if you're still BFing, why does he have milk to try?

He has formula to try for 2 reasons -

1 - because of the cancer I can only feed using 1 breast and after almost 8 months I am tired!

2 - I should cut all dairy and soya out of my diet which is harder than it sounds! I am not extremely strict but def no milk, eggs or cheese. I miss cheese so much!
