Hi Musogirl, I started taking T swimming at about 3 months old. I think 'they' say that you dont have to wait until they have had all their jabs now before you start, so I presume you can go at any age, Ill just look for info to back that up, brb...
It says here that:
You can take your baby swimming at any age — the Department of Health says you don't even need to wait until they've had had their immunisations.Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
Nice bag Muso
You can take her any timeBe prepared for a quick dip the first few times you go, they don't generally last more than 20mins when they're tiny...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

musogirl - I don't think that there is any worries about jabs these days but I would be waiting for baby to be alert and confidently moving their limbs and looking around IYSWIM. Up to the point where they are able to 'enjoy' it I am not sure that will be much fun for either of you.
I first took Benjamin when he was about 11 weeks, then we had some lessons when he was about 4 months.

OMG I am so hot!! I took T out for a stroll, he was ever so quiet but didnt fall asleep, so just ended up giving him a quick milk feed and have just managed to rock him off to sleep in his swing chair. Not really part of any plan of mine as a. its almost dinner time and b. im trying to get him to fall asleep without being rocked. But hey ho, hes content and asleep so Ill worry about that another day

Oooo, have added this to seller to my favourites. Xworkinmummy wrote: »Bad mummy (and daddy) confession time.
Have never taught Joe to ride a bike.
Now all the kids on the street are out on their bikes and poor Joe is left out and sulking. He has one, but its a little one and he's too big for it really.
Promised I'd take him or his dad would, to the park on Saturday morning to try teach him. Then we checked him against his bike and it really is a baby bike for a toddler. So now I'm looking at what £70 - £100? for a new bike, 6 months away from his birthday or Christmas. But he really is feeling left out and his little face is all:(:(.
So looks like a trip to toys r us is on the cards for tomorrow, as they have some on sale, but have absolutely no idea of what size he will need. Can't wait to teach him, not. He is a daredevil, but if he can't "get it " he will strop for England.
Ben is the same age but I think it is a 16" and it's just getting too small. I personally, just to learn on, would be getting a cheapy second hand off ebay then a new one on his birthday. Don't think I could cope with watching it bashing on the floor every 30 seconds as when they first start that's how it goes, fall off..back on..fall off :rotfl:Ben had one last year from Chain Reaction, was a lovely one at £45 (half price).I got this fat teenager a peach when she cheekily turned her back on me and said to her mates 'bloody folk wi weins!', proper rammed her, smiled and said 'whoops, I couldn't avoid your fat !!!! there'. Her mates were laughing at her and she didn't even have the nerve to say anything back.
