  • I just loved being pregnant! And I knew I would before I even was. I was very lucky to have a pretty much completely straightforward pregnancy, I never got to the point where I was too big to get comfy, I slept really well (apart from the 2 nightly trips to the loo!). And amazingly, after spending pretty much my whole like thining I wanted 2 children, just after Alfie was born I thought I might actually like 3!

Don't tell Lucy after 2 you thought about 3....Are you planning on having any more, or have you declared (for now)?

I'm 30 and OH is almost 37 and I don't think anyone has ever been funny about the age difference. I wonder if people assume you are older because you have so many children? (I had always assumed you must be in your forties until one day you mentioned being 37.)

Well, that is a possibility, but I don't look 37. Lucy also looks younger, so maybe that's an issue, although she looks 25/26 not 14. I also look quite...stern? I'm often told when I enter a room people stop, don't know why and she looks....beautiful, sweet, nice....I don't know. Maybe us age to hide other thoughts, but it's nice to hear so many of you with big age gaps :D
Just popping on for 5 mins whilst Liam wonders around tghe kitchen cuddling a bag of crisp...

MOTM - Double congratulations to you and Lucy. I liked the idea of getting a ring for proposal purposes only, I loved going ring shopping with DH, and found the ring I thought I wanted didn't look right on my finger. Oh, and don't forget, there is every chance Lucy's finger could swell with the pregnancy.

Susan - Don't think I've said congratulations to you yet :o Glad to hear this pregnancy is easier than your last.

We've got the Community Nursing Team coming to see Liam and give us some advise regarding my Eczema. My main concern is that it seems to be triggered by dairy and hence its become difficult to manage now he's having cows/goats milk.

Oh !!!!!!, there is water leaking from out the dishwasher...best get a mop

:rotfl:@ cuddling a pack of crisps.

Another good point with the swelling of the fingers. I love her little fingers though :( So it may be worth getting one now...or two...or...:o I think she would like looking for a ring, but i'd have to tell her off as she'd keep saying 'too much' when all I really want is for her to have a nice one.

I have Eczema linked to dairy. Not too bad - on forehead and around the chin and an itchy scalp if I don't wash twice a day. It's unfortunate now Liam is having milk if that is the trigger. I've not found anything that works for me totally, but original source shower gel works on my head. Wish I could find something that worked around the chin, so i'm always stubbled to hide as much as possible.

MOTM - glad that was a good idea for you :D Susans cheapie argos ring is a good idea too. Have told MIL if it is twins/triplets next time Ill be expecting her help! Tahlie is pronounced Like Bahli but with a T its basically Natalie shortend and an H added to stop the Tally pronounciation.

How did MIL respond? Neither I or Lucy have parents either alive or in our lives, so we don't have the 'pleasure'.

Ahhhh, I see. We have Thalia on our list of possibles if we have 2 girls. We already have a first choice for a female and a male. As we are already a house of names A-M, we have restricted ourselves to N-Z.

I only spotted that this morning, and did wonder.

Trading standards have just called me and told me american guy is sending me a cheque for £1200 today on condition I stop the smear campaign. :D

:TWait for the money to arrive before you pull anything :)

He's now paying me by BACS today. :D

No apology though, or admission that the healing happened, although he is also writing to me, so maybe it will be included in that.

But i'm happy and very thankful that I have my MSE friends with their good ideas and help. :kisses3:

    Even better.

An apology would be nice, but i'm sure it would be empty. As long as you get the money....do you plan to use it for another break?

OH bought me an engagement ring, thankfully not an expensive one because we guessed the size waay wrong and it flew off my hand in Tesco and despite a thorough search we never did find it :rotfl:

I need to get measured and replace it, he seems quite keen on getting married lately.

:o Can imagine you crawling under the shelves :D Maybe he wants to make an honest woman of you ;)

MOTM - Glad the midwives were better this time....

Oh and fortunately I am not a psychic, so there is no chance I will ever have to talk to him;) Although I have once seen a ghost!!!

BM - How great that you told him what's what....there is no need for that kind of rudeness!

Good super busy I hope? Glad to see you here though :)

Okay, so it's a BBC3 Prog. Hopefully Tigs can confirm the name so I can take a peek. :D

:T @ steps. Great moments for any parent :)

Yes, we have to make a decision and phone. Lucy says yes, I will phone tomorrow.

    So was Lucy! :D

Oh, do I commiserate? I ask as when I tell people of my parents demise, they commiserate and I say "please don't".

    Ghost....do tell...

Oh and the rude people.....they are everywhere. All ages, not just the youths who get a hard time. 3 times today people could not single file on a path, just because they had pushchairs that they felt had to take up the whole path between the two of them and adults old enough to move over. I'm the first to let a lady through with a pushchair, but that's my choice, not basically be told to get in the road.

Not sure i'd have taken the Button route so early on, but I would have had words had it continued.

I feared that. It may be that marriage will automatically give some parental right, or the idea of changing my will...

The older two will be okay, they are more likely to slap their mother and step mother about if they ever returned (no they aren't violent by nature) but the younger five would be my concern.

Not that they ever will return. Probably in some gutter somewhere p!ssed out of their pathetic minds, if they are actually still alive.

    *Breathes*

Dinner time, will try not to cut myself.

Have a nice evening and thanks for all the advice of late. I'm going to 'Pop the Q' Friday. Gives me time to speak to the girls and get their blessing, get some kind of ring and get in Lucy's favourite lunch.

    Take care.

Marriage gives no automatic right, only legal parental responsibility or adoption. Depending on the court officials they would probably want to contact the absent parents for both which is half the reason we haven't approached the situation with Aimee and Hubby just yet...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    but OH MY GOD 18.6lbs @ 10 + 4 weeks.....

    Allo 99.6th percentile :)

Wow!! Go Landen! (Alfie is not that heavy and he's 7 months almost lol)

I only have 1 so far!!! But we definitely want one more (and then maybe 1 more after that ;) )

:T:T:T Well done on getting your cash back 3. It's a shame there's no compensation or apology but at least it's something.
