Well the health visitor has been and is very happy with everything
Squeak has finally started putting weight on :j and apparently they don't hassle you to come to clinic all the time anymore either :j with my others I used to get moaned at if I didn't go for a couple of weeks
I read back and found the post explaining the drama - my twins have autistic tendencies and are as such the most quirky and lovable children I have ever met (even though I'm biased!) and anyone who tried to 'heal' them would get a clip round the ear from me :mad:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Hi
Good news on the email 3, maybe they are getting sick of you hassling them;):)
I think it was Becles, (who has very sadly vanished:( ) that recommended the sticker on the hand at nappy changes. I tried it but must have a weird child as K just freaks out until it is gone!
em - very sad story about your mum, to get pnd to that extent:(
I will check back in again later, I am waiting news from MOTM on the scan.

It's just you - mine is working.
The One Show researcher just called. She's took loads more details from me and contact number for them, and she'll pass it to a producer and they'll get back to me.
Mel Becles keeps popping onto facebook, i'm assuming she's busy in real life.
Why does the bl))dy summer decide to appear on the last week of the summer holidays?:beer:0 -
3 - It sounds as though all your persistence is paying off :T They picked the wrong person to take the p*ss with lol
Sami - that looks like a good offer. Does anyone know if it's a half decent mag?
T's having a clingy day today. Cried all morning while I was trying to get ready. We've just been to one of the Newbie Screenings at the cinema, it was Salt this week. I think T was a bit frightened at first coz I was trying to feed him and he kept coming off and looking at me with a big pet lip and sobbing. He calmed down and fed then fell asleep :j Unfortunately he woke half way through and filled his nappy so I had to go out and change him, then I struggled to settle him back down after that. The film was a bit too complicated to keep track of but was still an enjoyable morning. We're going to walk round to my friend's for coffee when he wakes up in a bit as it will be too stressful just staying in the house with him!
No word from MOTM yet?
ETA I've seen Becles post on a few other threads on here recently, just not this oneMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

Som - it might be caffeine linked, that would be roughly the kind of time it'd start to wear off in your system, and then having tea late would keep your system topped up over night..... hence not getting one in the morning....
(I did a lot of googling on caffeine whilst working in a tea/coffee retailer)Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

That makes sense, when I worked full time, I used to drink tons of coffee during the week in work, then at weekends i'd have no coffee and major migraines. It took me ages to figure it out.
I hardly drink any coffee now, only if i'm at a coffee place and maybe once a fortnight at home.:beer:0 -
Hello all...
Well lots of developments with Ayana! She now copies some sounds me and DH make. Shes been sleeping a lot recently and a little grumpy. She has been bringing her nuby toy to her mouthand trying her best to chomp on it (along with her thumb)- being curious, I thought I would have a quick look and she has something white coming through in the top right of her gums! EEK! I dont know if its just a bud showing through but its difficult to really get in there as she squirms. Will have another look when she has her nap later on.
Any news from MOTM yet?
Well done with the reponses 3.
Hi Gill, I spoke to the HV today and she said that cutting down on food is fine as it is your hormones that make you produce milk. She said try bulking up on salads/greens with main meal as theyre full of vitamins, etc. I asked her about cutting out carbs (thats what I usually do to lose weight) and she said as long as your getting SOME during the day it shouldnt affect bubs. She did say if you cut down too much you could end up either putting weight on as your body holds onto fat if it thinks its starving itself, and that if you feel sluggish or tired, up your calorie intake if nothing else is working (like exercise, a bit of daylight, etc.). Overall, its just the normal diet advice given to anyone.
GTG, lovely messy nappy waiting for me.
Oh, Som, I think you missed my response a few days ago but try and apply for homes as soon as the list is updated if poss. That way you have a better chance of getting to see more places. And dont worry about reading up on the areas first, just click on all those that seem nice and do the research afterwards- then you can reject any that dont seem all that.First baby born 10/06/10:heartpuls 6lb 10z:heartpulsI love my little family0
