Handcent is excellent although I don't like the iPhone style speech bubble texts and have changed it to Android style. Voice recognition on it isn't bad either.
On Flash it seems the update on the BBC to 10.1 might have rendered the clips unwatchable. I have for one watched F1 on their website.0 -
i have just verified the football situation and it works on my phone. i am using the beebplayer app and is working fine on my phone.
beebplayer has been pulled from the market recently as froyo supports the official iplayer. but beebplayer can still be downloaded from various sources on the net where i think it is still mirrored.
i am watching the football now on the beebplayer app just to check whether it is still working.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
Sweet gents, quick question i downloaded chomp sms similar like handacent however there's an option on there where you can set the LED light to be different colour when a message appears, is this technically possible on the Desire or no.
Also i checked out handacent, where are the drafts?? Chompsms was another one i tried also!
Also once flash fully comes to the desire, would that technically mean you could watch most clips online in theory?0 -
i have seen the front LED change colours (red, orange, green) depending on power situation and also blink based on alerts, so no reason why it cant do that for apps although i havent checked it myself.
as far as i know the desire cant do HD yet and is suppossed to get that in an update as per htc. god knows when that update will happen though.
it can do dvix, xvid etc now with various apps, some say yxplayer, but supposedly that is crap. rockplayer is supposedly good. a ripoff of the rockplayer is demoplayer and does the same job as rockplayer i am told, both available outside the market.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

I managed to get them down to £25 per month for an 18 month contract with 600 mins and unlimited texts which for Vodafone is pretty good.
PS. I get excellent streaming video on the BBC iplayer through the Vodafone network - the best I've ever had.
I was just offered this too £25 p/month for 18 months. HTC desire free. on a pre-order and to be delivered in 3/4 days!0
