    Hi everyone - nice to see you back nomorespending, so sorry you are having such a stressful time of it x

    I've had a good but busy DFW weekend.Yesterday I took T and B to London for the day. We..

    1) Travelled there and back on a Greyhound coach for £1 each!
    2) Walked every where to avoid paying busfare.
    3) Went on the London Eye and the Aquarium for free using our bargain Merlin passes. In two weeks they have already paid for themselves! I am ashamed to say that I am petrified of heights so I am ridiculously proud that I managed the Eye. I didn't move from the seat and stared at my map for most of it though. :o
    4) Went to Pizza Express for lunch and paid using Clubcard tokens.

    All in all a smashing, bargainous day, it was fab.

    Today I:
    1) Have been to 2 car bootys and bought some bits but only spent about £3.
    2) Did my weekly shop which came to £41 after using MOCs.
    3) Loads of hokey cokey drying outside.
    4) Dinner will be whoopsied food from Mr Ts.
    5) Checked banking,quidco, did SC ( boo to the one scratch Milly!).

    Looking forward to wine and a carbooty DVD with OH on the sofa tonight.

    And so a new week begins. I am quite excited as hopefully this week I will clear one of my CCs, fingers crossed.

    Have a fab Sunday night, L x

    Evening all,

    Welcome to now panicking :p

    La es - yoga course sounds lovely, hope you can make time to keep up the practice

    and a hug for (((((((nomorespending)))))))

    Still grumpy and not right here :o Had an ok weekend though. But not tidied the house or anything useful. Only MSE related things I've done are

    * made nephew's birthday present instead of buying it
    * didn't spend £8 going to see a band last night
    * had tea at friend's house
    * didn't buy a van - although not sure that counts! :rotfl:

    Ah well, back to it. Will make a public commitment here (!) to post on this thread first thing in the morning with a *realistic* list, and to get everything crossed off by the end of the day - promise :A

    Going to devote this evening to relaxing, ignoring the washing up, and generally making myself a bit more cheery - a nice walk with Mr Daffs, a bit of pottering in the garden, reading, and an early night, and ABSOLUTELY NO:

    * DIY
    * Washing up
    * looking at vans on the internet
    * talking about vans
    * thinking about vans in any way, shape or form :rotfl:

    Have a good rest of the weekend all! xx

    Evening everyone,

    Today I have / will:

    Done a car boot sale. Made £52, and had a nice morning sitting in the sun in a lovely spot :D

    Bought only a few purple sprouting broccoli plants at car boot, which OH has planted for me :D

    Sowed some lettuce seeds in the greenhouse

    Seen to plants and animals (but still have watering to do in a minute - it has started to rain, so I am likely to get wet while watering the outdoor pots :rotfl:)

    HM meals from stores and garden - pasta with bacon, tomatoes and camembert for supper (yum, just eaten it, put loads of chopped fresh herbs in)

    Hugs to those suffering from stress - I have been there, and it is awful, it totally dominates your whole life. Take care, and I hope you manage to resolve it in some way very soon. In my case, it meant leaving the job in question and getting another, but it is not easy to do that at the moment, I know. Ironically, I have ended up back there 5 years on, after being made redundant from the role I moved on to, but it is not so bad this time round. Having said this, I am due back tomorrow after a week's leave, and have had a sneak preview of my handover from colleague,and it isn't looking pretty :eek:

    Still, best make the most of it, as with the public sector cuts that are on the cards, I, along with many others, may not have a job by the end of the year :eek:

    Better get off bum now, and get on with the rest of the chores, and get everything ready for work tomorrow.

    Hello, this looks like a fab idea, I've done 3 surveys today, 2 of which should pay out £6 in the next week or two. I've done my weekly shop, off a list for the first time in ages, and it came in under budget although OH has to pick up some extra bits yet! Did scratches and have reached payout - woow.

    hi,
    nomorespending i know what you are going through, i'm in the public sector as well and we're going through exactly the same thing in our place it's soul destroying and heartbreaking and just so exhausting.

    this weekend i've
    checked and updated all bank accounts
    done scratch cards
    done HC and dried outside
    made 7 cards, one used already and the rest for stock for when i need one and i'm not in the mood to make them.

    got the car's MOT tomorrow, must 'talk' to it before i take it so it behaves.
