Hi nomorespending, sorry to hear things at work are getting on top of you.
Just remember that your health definitely is more important than anything you do for a living so please please please take at least 10 minutes out for yourself and some destressing. I've just come back from a yoga course today so am on my high horse

Add to my list....
I went online to BT as I noticed my £36 direct debit hadn't been taken this month - from seeing my account online, I was in credit so they gave me a month off paying and from next month I'll pay £29.50 instead - lovely!!
Also, had a revised housing benefit notice today which is giving me almost double what I have been getting - just twigged that it's due to Uni end of year, so they don't use my student loan income over the summer. I'll get more loan in Septemebr so HB will drop again, but nice extra bit over the summer:D
Not really done much else today....I'm bored:o DD2 is back at 9.30 tonight, so I will have some company!!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
nomorespending wrote: »Hi Everyone,
Not been writing regularly for a while but getting on and reading everyones posts when I can. Hope all ok..
Had a few very very tough weeks, work is very difficult, Head of service has gone off long term sick, I'm deputy which has meant that I'm doing my job and my bosses. No support is in place so i'm on my own. I work within the council and our finances are a mess which means I need to sort them by january in order to keep everyones jobs ( about 50 staff) I know this is priority but am just sinking undr the pressure - and keeping a positive face on to all staff is draining but important.
My partner says walk away its not worth it ( i cry all the way home each night having worked lots of overtime and just dont want to talk about work to my Oh , i'm exhausted) he talls me to walk away, and i knwo i'm not indispensible but i also knwo the relity is that if i dont' stay and sort things out lots of people will lose their jobs. The other side is that if i change my job ( i could go back to what i did before which is teaching) i'll take a pay cut which will mean pushing my debt free date back and I cant bare the thought of it being even further away. ...
.
{{{hugs}}} nomore - ur post reminds me of where I have been (and am intermittently) with my job. Keep ur chin up, now's not the time to be looking for another job (that's my mind currently at least),i worry about my position (currently company having "another" restructure), am short staffed (should be me and 3 ft officers in 1/2 of my team but currently me & pt officer) but you can only do what you can do, and if things don't pan out then you can at least feel secure that you did what you could, keep flagging it up at supervision so if you have to take the fall you have evidence that you tried to access additional support from ur line manager. That's all I think I can do xxx:ADF as at 30/12/16

((Hugs)) to NMS and DNMS - I have / always end up with jobs like that  Do take care

I have just had a week off (and have slept for a lot of it
), but have had a sneak preview of my handover from colleague, and it doesn't look good, and that is on top of the other things that are just mine, and we don't share responsibility for, and everything that comes up over the next few weeks when she is away (only one of us, as opposed to two). Not looking forward to Monday
Today I have:
Checked online banking
Seen to animals and plants
HM meals from stores and garden :j
Sent OH shopping - big mistake, despite detailed list
Luxuriated over Saturday newspaper (big one with lots of sections, usually takes me all week in spare moments to read)
Did a bit more of self assessment tax thingies - brother has arrived, but is no help
I WILL get it done somehowthough
Finished hoovering upstairs
Helped OH sort and load up lots of things out for car boot sale tomorrow, so hoping for good weather
Made lovely summery things - lavender shortbread and raspberry muffins from nice garden things

I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Managed to clock up a NSD yesterday and cooked up a large pasta sauce which did pasta bake for tea and 3 portions to freezer and only cost £1.50. Am working overtime this morning and as I work close to my parents I am going there for roast lamb. Petrol light came on this morning so going to have to fill the tank today so not going to manage a NSD so will pop to Asda for Petrol and will get Robinson Squash while there as only 50p a bottle.Debt-Free Wannabe / Long Haul Supporter 238 - Proud to be Dealing with my DebtsLBM Moment June 2010 DMP with CCCS Started August 2010Total Debt at LBM = £17,602.74 / Current Debt = £16,285.76 / Cleared = £1.316.98 (7.5%)0
