I got 5 t-shirts and a necklace so am a bit disappointed.I think I might email just to question the lack of variety or am I too picky?
Every day above ground is a good one ;)
  • I got so tempted by the sound of pinkshoes bag (waited ages for those trousers to reduce in the sale and have just bought some) that I was going to get one, however the codes now expired so I'm being good. Happened to notice for anyone who's a student that the NUS extra card gives you a 20% discount on people tree.

I think I would have been a bit disappointed at the lack of variety but it would still be quite good value for money, as their t-shirts are quite expensive full price. I'm not sure whether I would email - I would probably just try again, finances permitting :money:

Thanks for this! Do you have any idea how to actually get the discount to work on the website? Or does it only work in-store?

I'm not sure what the code is, its one of the discounts listed on the NUS website for the NUS extra card which you can order for £11 if your a student. Website here: http://www.nus.org.uk/en/
I'm doing a post-qualifying award but didn't sign up for NUS card last year as I had a student card last year so I'm not sure if I'd have to go in the student union first come September, though seems like you can sign up online. It looks like when you sign up and log in you can view the code. Here is the people tree page http://www.nus.org.uk/en/NUS-Extra/Discounts/2010/People-Tree-Student-Discount/ I very much doubt it's just in store as the store is very new and there's only one (in Brighton I think), probably website only.

    Hope that helps

I am a member, and have logged in, but still can't see the code I'm supposed to quote. :(

So when you logged in on the people tree discount page on the website there was nowhere to view the code? I looked and the covering blurb on the previous page says only on the people tree website so I would have thought a code would come up. Please let me know if you manage to work it out as that would be my main reason for getting the NUS extra card-I buy most of my clothes at people tree. Perhaps if you phoned people tree on the week or emailed them they could point you in the right direction?

Just logged in to my NUS and I can see the code. Tried it on the website and it seems to work on full price items (inc. the goody bags) but not the sale stuff.

You have to log in first and then go to the people tree page (Linky) and if you scroll down the page, you should see a button saying 'access the offer'. Click on it and it redirects you to another page with the code on it.

Although the code seems generic, I'm not sure if I am allowed to share it openly on MSE as I would hate for the offer to be pulled by NUS because of abuse. Sorry.
  • Decided to order one in the end, I have no self control but I have my first babysitting gig lined up which should pay for it :) Will let everyone know how I get on. The everyday trousers have gone out of stock, I'm dreaming that they're going in my goody bag!

I finally recieved my two replacement items today. I was pleasantly surprised.

I recieved an Assymetrical Grecian top in Red. I have this already in black, but wished I had bought the red instead, but they were showing OOS. Result. :D

My second item was a halterneck top in an unusual dark olive, with orange/cream pattern on it. It looks great on, so I'm very happy. :j
