    Hi all,

Thinking of ordering one of these goodie bags - everyone seems to have done so well out of theirs.

But i am a size 8, and worried their size 8 will be too big?

Do you think I should risk it?

    Dom

If you've bought from People Tree before, can afford it, like their designs and don't specifically need say a skirt, then why not.

On the other hand spend £30 in Primark, TK Maxx etc and you can choose your size and design.

Erm that doesn't help much does it !

I have bought their size 8 goodybag, and only two (plain) t-shirts fit me. They also had a top and 2 dresses, all WAY too baggy. Just looked silly. So I sent the lot back, not sure what will happen next - ideally I'd like a refund as I think any replacement they send would be too big too.

I ordered one (size 12) last Monday and it arrived this morning. Admittedly I haven't tried any of it on yet as I was in a rush this morning but overall I'm pleased, despite not getting any dresses. I got:

A gorgeous herringbone tweed pencil skirt
    Plain green v neck tshirt
    Navy leggings
    Black longsleeved tshirt
    Oatmeal knit cardi
    Handmade notepad/paper

The cardi might be a bit too mumsy for me and the neckline on the black tshirt is quite high which doesn't usually suit me but like I say, I haven't tried them on yet so I'm reserving final judgement till later. I think I'd have paid £27 just for the skirt though so for me it was a great deal :)

If you are a standard size 8, the clothes may be a bit big, although tops should be fine. If you were an 8-10 I would risk it though. Its up to you. I was generally pleased with mine, although I'm waiting on a couple of replacement items.

    Got mine today:

    Pink stripe shirt dress
    Green stripe shirt dress
    Purple linen trousers
    White print t-shirt
    Green v-neck t-shirt
    People Tree notebook
Gold chain thingie with jangly beads.

The purple trousers are hopeless - way too short and are tight in the thigh. I actually like the shirt dresses, but although they fit nicely elsewhere, my bust is bustin' out of them.
    T-shirts are both fine.
The gold chain thing - who knows what this is meant to be? I think you're supposed to double it up and wear it as a bracelet. It's very tinkly. I can imagine it would do nicely for belly dancing.

Not sure what to do - send back or hope for a bust-shrinking miracle in the near future.:D

  • Hey all,

got mine today and I'm moderately pleased:

Blue sleeveless wrap dress with white kind of spot design
Red / orange sleeveless wide vest top
Light blue t-shirt with turn up sleeves
Dark blue sleeveless pleated vest top with tie at the bottom
    Purple multi-strand bracelet
    People tree notebook

Overall I am quite happy, I like the dress and the red/orange top, the t-shirt is ok but I am most pleased with the dark blue top, as I'm wearing that now! :D
  • Got mine today, all fit really well and fairly pleased

    black tweed skirt (really nice)
    white tunic dress with beads
    green paisley long sleeved top
    pink paisley long sleeved top
plain green popper button cardi (not sure if it's me)
free earrings & necklace (ebay is calling)
  • I got my replacement today and I really like it ( : (After the awful first one with 4 t shirts!)

    I received:

    Green T Shirt
    Smart grey pencil skirt
    Green/Blue flower printed wrap dress
3 pairs of pants (pretty colours and spotted)
    Dark blue beaded necklace
    and a notebook

I love the dress! And I've worn the knickers (well one pair) and the necklace already! The pencil skirt id lovely but too tight, I shall slim into it (been getting rather stodgy after knee surgery) and get fit at the same time ( :

    Thanks people tree! x x x

however, the goody bags are out of stock so can't buy them to make up your order. Also found that most of the clothes I liked were now sold out sadly as I had my eye on a few dresses. If they have things you like in your size though it's a great offer. be warned, the site is running very slowly.
