our local college have a beauty/hair salon that offer treatments done by students at very cheap prices and I treat myself there

I, like most of you enjoy new shampoos and smellies and treat myself to cosmetics and junk jewellry to cheer myself up ......what I have started doing and its really paying off is using everything I have - I stopped saving stuff 'for best' and use my posh stuff and pamper myself .........funnily enough I feel really pampered when I have new undies!!!
dee mum of 3 "before you buy ...think,how many hours have i worked to pay for this?,do i need it? or can i get it r&r in tesco!! hee heee:A0 -
nice long bath with a magazine and use my "posh" bath stuff(usually stuff ive been given for xmas/birthdays etc)
why is it i cant use it on a regular basis lol i always keep the good sets for a treat?!0 -
I love a bath and it is a real treat but as I have a back that is a lil dodgy, I also think it's therapeutic;) A curry takeaway is probably my fave treat and we have been getting one about once a fortnight atm but did go for a period of months without one as money was so tight and i really missed them. I do make curries, but this particular restaurant we get them do absolute rippers and I steam the rice at home to keep costs down:D I also like to look after my skin by doing home facials, but I've just been using my endless stash rather then buying new stuff. Reading and taking my dogs to the beach also rates up there and belgian chocolate or Greens Organic white choc yum.Thailand 3010/15000 20150

Nice toiletries and chocolate are regular and affordable treats for me. It always feels a treat when I use my Boots advantage card points on something a little luxurious.
I also value snatching bursts of time just for me. Little things that feel slightly naughty, such as finishing work as early as possible and heading for a shopping centre to browse, have a little shop and finding a table in a cafe for a latte and a slice of cake.
Catching up with favourite tv programmes on i-player when you have the house to yourself so that you can get totally absorbed and be undisturbed...
Playing computer games when you know you should really be doing the dusting...0 -
Just taking off somewhere and going shopping. I did this the other day after having to deal with OH's community mental health discharge meeting in the morning - I took myself off to Nottingham and had a lovely day - went shopping and went to watch the gorgeous Notts Rugby lads train

really enjoyed myself but its a pretty rare treat for me - usually due ot lack of cash! *The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
Chocolate or a creamy snack, and a book.

This si a nice thread, thanks Claribel
And very interesting to see what others class as their treats!!
I'm a total shopaholic, so a trip to the shops is a treat I guess..I'm not really into sweet things, I don't drink, and I'm not a cosmetics girl, so shopping is my thing.
Or, if I'm feeling really indulgent, a trip to the material shop in town, to treat myself to a new dress pattern, or some pretty fabric to make a new dress with !!
Often a trip to the cinema is a treat too!0 -
Put aside several hours with magazines and DVD's, soak my hair and feet in olive oil, put on a face mask and give myself a pedicure. I always feel really indulged by the time I go to bed!Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0
