If you look at Next's criteria for VIP's it specifies that you must have recieved a copy of the directory. I always recieved an invite without fail before asked them to stop sending a copy and then suddenly the stopped. I think you have been lucky

Our VIP sale service is only available to a limited number of customers. Priority has been given to our Flexible Account Customers who have a Next Directory however due to our huge customer base not every customer that meets the criteria will be invited to place an order in the VIP sale.

The selection criteria is used to narrow down the number of customers who will then be randomly invited to have a VIP sale appointment.

oh well I will save a small fortune so hubby will be pleased

my email has just come through now but i booked my slot earlier on by just logging into my account. The emails always come through slowly. I have managed a slot this time but didnt get one in the last sale, and i have done nothing different from usual.

I've got an account but no slot.

I'd guess that the people who get the invites are those that actually get the catalogue.

I refuse to pay £4 anything up to 10 times a year or whatever it is, just for a catalogue, so have asked them not to send them to me and I shop online instead. I guess this is what it means.
