Does anyone know if Next will have new stuff on their online sale tomorrow morning or is it just what is leftover from the VIP Sale (which isn't much!).

I just want to know if it is worth getting up at 8am to try and get stuff I missed out on in the VIP sale.

    Thanks!

When I looked at girlswear last night, there were 643 items. When my slot finally started at 7am today, there were 730 items in girlswear, so some sort of updating must have happened overnight. Mind you it's still things like cutesie teddy bear pyjamas in age 16 lol!
  • I was 'lucky' enough to be allocated a "VIP" slot for 7am this morning. It has been trying to get in for 2 hours!! I have experience of the pre-sale online event but in the past there was at least some sort of counter counting down to inform you how long before you would get access.

I also know, from experience, that unless you get one of the first time slots there's not likely to be much left other than newborn clothes or cardigans your husband wouldn't wear!

Someone was wondering about furniture. I bagged a great bargain last year on furninture but again it's luck of the draw whether you get in in time or not.

As for delivery charges, they normally charge for each order you make but I guess if there's a problem with the website they might be obliged to refund some of these charges. Worth contacting them.

I think I'll be doing what I've done in the past and making my way to nearest store on Sat morning since tiny tots will have me up at crack of dawn any way! Hope this is useful to someone.
  • I have 3 Next transactions showing on my cashback this morning, That will more than cover delivery charge :)

Does anyone have a copy of the Autumn Winer 09 book still by any chance. Ordered the Wii At £95 447-324-X44 wondered if it came with anything......might not be such a bargain after all. Would appreciate if someone could have a look, thanks.

I do'nt think so, i've just had a lengthy conversation with Next over this. Basically I bought things from the directory before realising there was a sale I have to pay full price (even though VIPs are buying at the same time half price)

If I return it I can't buy it back from the store as the stock is returned to the directory, its not allowed to be sold from the store.

I tried to argue this was unfair to make me pay full price when VIPs were paying half - they were having none of it.

I think its pretty terrible that some have been offered 2nd VIP slots before others have even been offered 1????

From the pic I saw it looks like the old non-Wii Sports Resort version. So you will get the Wii, a controller, nun chuck and Wii Sports (tennis, golf, bowling, boxing and baseball). (Although the Wii Sports Resort version would have been out for Xmas last year?)

To get a second controlller you either need to buy Wii Play or just get another controller.

Argos e-bay have wii play for around £15 delivered at present (see https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2598033). For under £20 you can also get Wii Sports Resort which comes with 1 motion sensor attachment for the controller.) from the same site.

Or you may be lucky and get the current version!!

By invitation from Next - plenty on here about the randomness and fairness (or otherwise) of their selection process.
  • I've been told by CS in the past that if you place more than one order in a day they will only charge you one delivery charge. Definitely worth ringing them up if you've placed a few different orders. If they argue you can always blame it on the website being so slow :D
