jsa suspended for a week

  • Your claim will not have been suspended for a week-it has been sanctioned, which means that you will not receive any monies for that period. They should have given you the dates for the sanction so that you are aware when you will not be receiving money. You can be sanctioned for missing interviews for as many times as you miss interviews and I believe that the first time you miss one, if a sanction is imposed it is for a week but any subsequent failures to attend and the sanction increases to two weeks at a time. When you went in to say why you had missed the interview, they would have either gone through a form on screen with you which would have been sent electronically to the Decision Makers, or they would have filled in some clerical forms which would then have been sent to the DMs. On these forms you give your reasons for missing the interview and they take these into account when they decide whether to input a sanction or not. As they sanctioned your claim, the Decision Maker must have decided that your reasons did not constitute 'good cause' for missing the interview, so I would suggest that if you are only asking them to reconsider what you have already told them, this would not be a worthwhile exercise.

Most likely I would if I suffered a memory impairment which was exacerbated by traumatic dreams.

How did we go from an apparently healthy JSA claimant to someone with a memory impairment exacerbated by traumatic dreams? ;)
    Gone ... or have I?

Perhaps the OP needs to try and remember to buy a calendar with spaces on it to write all appointments down if he has a memory impairment,
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I was responding to your hypothetical question/trolling. However, I do admire your ability to diagnose a person's health from a few sentences posted on the internet; maybe you should consider a career change.

Perhaps you should find better things to do with your weekend than ridiculing people asking for help.

haven't you done exactly the same, but from the opposite perspective?

Is there a medical condition where vivid dreams affect ones memory? I assume you know of one and can provide some links which would serve to educate those who are unaware of such conditions?

today i received a latter from job center plus as that i wasn't entitled money from the first of July, so i called to find out what it was for, and my claim was suspended for a week cause i missed my 13 week interview

anyway the day i was ment to go i forgot about it, because i had a bad night, a few vivid dreams which messed up my memory, and i forgot about the interview, and i didnt realize until the next day, i went to see someone about it, and i had a call and my 13 week interview was the next day

Just be grateful, thats it is stopped for a week, you really need to get your act together.

If and when you get a job, you cant say to your employer oh I forget to come into work today because I forgot what day it is.

If you have an appointment then make sure you go, if your memory is bad just stick letters etc up on the wall where you can see them.

When i was claiming JSA i never once missed appoinments because it does say your benefits maybe stopped if missed, this is clearly stated in all letters.

Hardly, it was a serious suggestion, the calendar,

My husband had a serious head injury and he has the most appalling memory, a calendar and a diary are in daily use in his life.

In actual fact I think the OP just simply forgot (as they dont sign on on a regular bais) and he/she is just hoping someone will be able help him her get his money reinstated.
