Yes, but the OP has 8A 8C, so that's 4x the cost. A lot more than her original £350, and now £175.forgotmyname wrote: »Trenance is in newquay, Mate booked for this year 1week Mid august, £200 for 2A 2C
Tollgate farm, closer to perranporth than newquay, next door to the haven site.0 -

camping certainly seems to have become a lot more expensive - i never remember having to book and regularly paid less than 10 quid a night for a car tent and two adults. what is going on these days? Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0

Good luck to you, you have to know what you're doing out there. It's wild, there are dangerous boggy bits, rivers, places you can die ... and there are wild animals out there (boars for starters).apparently you are allowed to wild camp on dartmoor. think wild camping is the way forward for me. very mse too.

Hey, that's where we are off to AGAIN this year.PasturesNew wrote: »Trevornick would be:
£9.95/adult x 4 = £40
£7.95/child x 4 = £36
So that one would be £76/night... without electric. If you wanted to bring a car and have electric, that's another £56 or so for the week.

We absolutely love it there, fab showers, can't beat the fresh bread in the morning, the beautiful sand-dunes ......... and the ice-cream van on the beach - also selling cornish pasties and a cup of tea
Not the cheapest of sites, but with the great facilities there, we don't mind paying that little bit extra.
Can't wait for August to arrive

Hi, had you thought about joining the Camping & Caravanning Club & turning up at one of heir Temporary Holiday Sites?? Just done a little research for you.
Central Counties have a THS running at Hendra, Newquay 3rd - 31st July. To join the Camping & Caravanning Club is about £37 for a years membership for 2 adults & all children under 18. For 4 adults you're looking at £74 (but dont forget you still get 12 months usage out of that membership to camp reduced rates elsewhere). Add to that your site fee & its at £11.50 per unit night. The 'unit night' generally covers 2 adults & some say all children under 18, others 2 children under 18. There is then the extra charge of £2.50 per adult per night. In effect you can get 7 nights camping for -
£74.0 joining fee
£80.5 7 nights camping for 2 adults & the children
£35.0 7 nights camping the extra 2 adults
£189.50 TOTAL
The only query would be children 3 & 4 which would only add on another £35 at most.
Think this is by far the cheapest way of spending a week in Cornwall @ a recommended full facility site.
Hope this helps

Apologies for hijacking your thread OP.
I'm looking for a camp site in Padstow (preferably on or walking distance to a beach) in August. I've found a couple in Padstow but they don't specifically say on/near beach.
Sometimes smaller sites don't have websites or advertise.
