Thanks everyone, it is exciting! I am so happy right now
We're thinking of Easter 2012, providing OH can get the time off work
However, I am SO SO SO worried about starting school next week - I keep having dreams where lots of things go wrong!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

NualaBuala - The bungalow is back together not yet decorated or back to normal. The garden paths were taken up yesterday and guess what, it can't go back down till it's stopped raining so anytime in the next couple of months LOL.

It's a bit chilly here today and the weather is very changeable sun and rain alternating all day. I have just got the idea from another thread that I will preserve some rosehips - perhaps some syrup and I think you can dry them or freeze them to make tea.
Hope you are all having a good frugal day. Big hugs to anybody who'd like one.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

hi everyone,
I have done 3/5 exams up to yet, another tommorrow and again friday .... really can't wait until they are all over. This mornings didnt go as well as I hoped, I just couldn't recall my seen question script ... my mind was a blank and the unseen question was poo too. I just keep hanging onto that I just need to pass .... psychology (exams) are seriously not for me!
I have been thinking too about what you said Nuala, I really want to move out of this house and get a place of my own.... I'm sick and tired of shared house living (also sick and tired of my moody, passive aggressive noisy housemate) and it seems its quite easy to get a housing association place so thats what I was hoping for. However, the area the housing officer showed me is quite a distance from the city (my gym, my social life, the bus/train station if I want to go further afield/home). I feel that I would be quite isolated from everything if I moved there without some sort of contingency plan to be able to do the things I enjoy. I agree I cant afford to take on finance (no need to look at my figures, I dont even have savings as what I earn just about equals what I have going out). I'm really sad at the moment as even if I got this job (interview isnt until middle of September) I would struggle to get there from my prospective home (two buses) and since the pay isnt much above minimum wage I would be struggling. Plus I would have all the added costs of living alone (tv licence, council tax etc etc which I dont currently pay). It seems everything is dependant upon something else, somehow and that something else is going to take more time......
Congratulations Slowly Fading!! I imagine anyone would be nervous at starting their first teaching year, but how exciting for you!!
I always think of that poem about being nervous about starting school ...... at the end the writer reveals he is actually the head teacher.

Sorry for not phoning folk...Very stressful and yet exciting afternoon yesterday...Got to see M @ Working L straight after S H and she phoned J (the boss) and is trying to sort out either a work placement (quite supervised...could take a long time to set up and may not even happen and no guarantee of job @ end) or a work trial (guaranteed job @ end and quicker to set up) so we wait and hear..and pray...
And then I got home and Ma was busy and stressful (as always when I need her) and whatnot..To confirm this, I phoned M House to try and work out what this cat sitting thing is happening and like TD answers and says no one is there and he has the key and is cat sitting and I'm like "World's just caved in...no training scheme this next week, no drop in, nothing..and now now M House "...Anyhow eventually get hold of the old housemate who was selling the van and like he says he's going to give me the key this am and leave it somewhere for me so pray he does...cos he's not exactly reliable. If so I have a bolt hole for the next wee while till thing settle down...
Anyhow on the good news the food processor book I ordered from Amazon cheap came yesterday. It's american and old (1976) but will be just fab for me and the recipes aren't too big so am happy and has all the yummy basics like meatloaf and cookies and peanut buttter so am happy. Just need my 'make bread in 15 mins' book to come now ...
Anyhow this is the latest update on me. I'm setting my sight's lower than till work because I was so cast down after Mr S and aiming for cleaning work which if I don't get this post Michelle from working links might have something...
Blessings

Morning everyone
Jen, by the time you read this I'm hoping your last exam is behind you! :j Try not to worry about how you did and just get on with enjoying your trip away! I feel for you on the housing front. I wonder would the housing association have anything in an area with better transport links? I will have everything crossed for you, I know it's so hard!
Erme, sounds like life is busy busy busy with you these days. Hope you're taking extra good care of yourself with all that going on cos it sounds kind of stressful, never mind the PMS (which I can sympathise with as I have PMS right now). I hope you get a job that suits you, will be thinking of you. Keep us posted!
I have been feeling as though I wasn't properly focused on being frugal lately. I guess I was worried about my health and budgeting seemed of lesser importance (although it didn't go totally out the window). I've had a quick glance over my figures and I am still on target with my budget, even taking into account my trip away on retreat. The only spend that puts me over is the decorating work I had done but I had saved that money from last year so I guess that's ok. Now I sort of feel a renewed frugal effort coming on. Can you believe we only have 4 months of the 2010 challenge left folks? My plan has always been to use this year's figures to make a sensible budget for next year because my estimates for several categories were way off! Anyway, I am going to re-tweak my budget. I'll refocus and make a list of things that I'm not going to buy for the rest of the year, and I'll figure out how much I need to put by for Christmas (which I do very frugally anyway).
Hugs all around to anyone who'd like one and I hope you all have a great day!Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
