do u need to have the BT value pack at £14.99 to have sports for £16.99

So total cost would be £32 a month

Sky's costs are not falling for their own customers but going up according to your report.

It's so typical of Sky to hammer their own. They're very good at making special offers to new customers but give nothing to those who have been with them for years. A £3 hike in one swoop is mega even by their standards.

No wonder Murdoch wants to buy the whole company. It becomes a licence to print money.

You're out of touch. They call it quantitive easing these days :D .

I phoned Sky about this last night about this price increase (I am not happy with the reasons they are increasing there prices) and they advised me that if I wish to cancel any package (I wanted to cancel Sky Sports) then i have to give them 30days notice.

They advised me that they changed there terms and conditions in April and sent a letter to "every customer" to advise them of this (they actually said that they sent a letter in with the Sky Magazine and another letter on its own), both myself and my girlfriends dad have not received any letter advising of this.

So I am basically stuck with Sky Sports until August at the earliest becasue of there new t&c's.

You see I'm trying to be positive, but the BT deal seems ok if you want football only. For those of us who watch other sports and hence need Sky Sports 3 & 4, it's a waste of time and has just resulted in the pricing of my package being bumped up. Part of me hopes that Murdoch succeeds with his CAT appeal...

No letter received here this end either, seems to be a trend occuring.

Certainly does JokerDurden as a guy I work with has also not received a letter advising them of the changes.

Just wonder how many more of there customers have not received a letter?

Sky's contempt towards their customers never ceases to amaze me! I really hope a reasonable competitor comes along and I can leave them for good. I pray for the day we can stream TV straight from the providers and not have to line the Murdoch's pockets.

I wonder if Sky are going to put up the price of the sports packages, but reduce the price of the base package so that they can charge BT more while not annoying their own customers? Would be very sneaky if they did.
