Maybe R J Turley gave MSE a phone call to complain about it.
No. the initial criticism is still there. It's just the disagreements about posting that have been removed.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Interesting that the "satisfied customer" has ignored this question.0 -

Not really.
What difference does it make?
Somehow, someone found this thread. In what way does that imply that that someone is up to no good?
It's just as likely or unlikely that a genuine customer found this thread as a shill for the company involved.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

.
If in doubt - Google is your friend (there are plenty of forums MSE cannot delete). As with any Company, if your looking for customer satisfaction\dis-satisfaction a quick fly around the array of consumer forums out there, should give anyone a clear idea of how they trade.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Except some of us managed to read the recent posts before deletion and know that is not the case.
I read the deleted posts but I have no way of knowing whether IMasters is a genuine disinterested customer or not.
My point was that the means by which someone found a thread cannot be indicative of whether or not they are genuine. If a thread is obscure it's just as obscure to the company concerned and their shills as it is to a genuine customer.
The 'first post is in support' is a far more reliable indicator but it is not infallible.If in doubt - Google is your friend (there are plenty of forums MSE cannot delete). Agreed, and this company seems to be one to avoid.
They may be OK when everything is straightforward but seem to be a nightmare if anything goes wrong.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Pleased to see the support team have now removed argumentative posts, recognised me a genuine customer of R J Turley, and the importance of representing both good and bad reviews on this forum.
Has it occurred to anyone that this company may have improved its customer service in response to previous reviews? Looking at the two Birmingham Online reviews, I notice that the two negative reviews are from 2010.
This one is from 2012;
A Birmingham Online review of R J Turley by David Wilson - Monday 6th of August 2012
"Brilliant!"
Took my great-grandmother's silver/emerald/marcasite brooch to Turley's for repair - they did a superb restoration job, very quickly and not expensive. Super to find a real craftsman.
And this one is from 2013;
A Birmingham Online review of R J Turley by Barbie - Tuesday 15th of January 2013
"Excellent service, excellent work."
Took my engagement ring to be repaired and upgraded and also a gold ankh which required a stone replacement on the 22/12/12. Was given fair price and an approximate date for collection of two weeks. Work completed in three weeks which given the Xmas break in between is acceptable to me. I am more than pleased with the standard of craftsmanship and Mr Turley even gave my wedding ring a clean and adjustment which I hadn't asked for. Please use our local craftsmen it is so important to keep these trades viable.
As you are now aware I also received excellent service from this company this year. With this being the case surely this witch-hunt should now be dropped, after all everybody deserves a second chance.
Thanks Azari for having the common sense to see both sides and give the benefit of the doubt. Your gut instinct was right, some other members on here are far too cynical.0 -
Notice that many of yours defending their work were removed too. I suggest you stop posting and fishing up reviews from elsewhere. The site you quote has an equal number of negative reviews too.
Your insistence to keep fighting makes you look more and more like a shill.0 -
Not really.

It matters because they claim they searched for R J Turley to see if there was a website they could give their thanks on. Instead they claim this thread came out top of the first page of results.
Frankly, I think that's rubbish. This thread had been untouched for years and hence had a poor ranking on search engines (it's now gone way higher due to the recent interest).
However it's a easy one for IMasters to reply to. The fact they haven't speaks volumes.0 -

Isn't that copyright infringement, without at least linking back to the source?0
