62, wow!! any tips?!
Think I had about 45 customers from my original territory, have been canvassing my new territory for 3 camps now and got the rest from that. Got around 350 houses in total in my territory now, along with 4 F&F customers.
Just been doing a lot of legwork and writers cramp!!!! Canvas, canvas, canvas, you've got to cover your first territory for 6 campaigns minimum (I did 9 and was still picking up at least 1 new customer each camp) and then canvas it every 4-6 camps. Once you've done your first lot of territory to death, then see if you can get some more.
I've also been very lucky that my ASM had plenty of territory for me.0 -
Hi
I have been having a quick read and I have noticed a lot of people are having problems getting the sequined toning flip flops. On the last order I had it said that they were unavailable, but would be sent so no reason to reorder. As the customer who ordered them was new I dropped round with a little bag of free samples and apologised saying that I should have them in about three weeks. I have just had the next delivery today and it says the product is out of stock and to try again when they are next in the brochure.
I have just phoned Avon and they said they could put a note on my account, but it might be September by the time I get them.
Any advice on what I should do now? The customer hasn’t ordered anything else since. Should I go round again now and explain that she's not going to get her flip flops untill at least September?

disaster.. struck down with kidney infection again (ongoing issue), spent day in bed yesterday so couldnt do my returns for my courier today or put my notes out for tonights deliveries.. havent got ANY of my delivery sorted today as i feel too ill to move off sofa... got 9 boxes of avon sat in my hall that need sorting in 62 orders
Was late collecting my books last week because of the kidney problem and got loads customers being angry/abusive (first time ive EVER not collected books in the 18 months ive been doing it!) so im dredding the phone calls tonight/tomorrow!!! Really need some time off but cant afford to and theres no one i know who could take over for me. Wish i had a SL who could maybe help out!!!0 -
zombiecazz and lozza - sorry to hear about your loses
Chaz - i would just try re-order the flip flops for her and maybe take round a little consilation gift and apologise for the wait?
marsden - i just put the code the customer had said from the book and got sent the right colours different names..... BUT if you feel safer order both and send the incorrect one back.. although remember which codes you ordered it on! lol:rotfl:
ellibee - im not holding out much hope for c13 either just looked on my invoice and last year i only did £350 and served 29 customers...if its that low this year i'm doomed!!im not impressed by books 13 or 14 this year.. offers just arent enticing enough!

Thanks Johanne, I guess it's something I'm going to have to do. I can't think of any other way of getting the flip flops.
I hope you feel better soon.

johanne - you need a week in a hot place (or a month ... ?!) and some R&R!!
(a couple of cocktails delivered by a young attractive waiter wouldn't go amiss either, eh?!)
You have some truly horrid customers as well. Grr. Grrrr.
Like us all, you will probably try to do too much again and knock yourself out, but try not to start until tomorrow at the earliest! And schedule in tea breaks at least, and stick to them.
(might be better not to start on the vodka cocktails until you have done the bagging up).0 -

Do hope you feel better soon. Avon can be relentless pressure when we're out of sorts. I fell & lost my two front teeth last Sept. I still dragged myself (looking like the local witch - black eye 'n all) around to keep the show on the road & not let my customers down. Brace yourself & make those calls & try & relax & get better. I have had a horrid past few months, really let my Avon drop, sometimes not even giving out the cats, lost money, then worried about losing my main job, every little thing seemed to be giong wrong then I got robbed the other week of my iPhone!!
I have stopped feeling sorry for myself and trying to get back into Avon. Only send out to about 25-30 customers on my territory. Some people a while back (Over a year ago) said they already had a rep / wasn't interested but I can't remember who, do I do a big recanvas now or just the ones that I am SURE didn't give me a reason to not send another cat but have just never ordered and also the ones that houses have been let/sold?
Really want to try and get this up again, I let my life get a bit out of control. Gonna stop feeling sorry for myself and remain positive!!!0 -
Hi Ladies,
Finally had my campaign 11 delivered yesterday after alot of hassle with my order being over my credit limit and so I had to do 2 seperate orders. Have got to get all my deliveries out tonight and pay avon tonight so I can order my C12 tomorrow.
Does any one know if they increase the credit limit on your next order as I dont want all this hassle again...:)0 -
Lyndsey - would stick to your regular customers at the mo. Plan a big recanvass for september as there will be less away on holiday (and broke!), kids will be back at school, brochures will be looking towards Christmas offers (prev. posts say C13 +14 dont look brilliant) and the weather will be cooler which means more folks sitting indoors flicking through brochures. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
