~Avon Hints and Tips~(Part 5)

I read that thread about unsolicited mail, too. It seems you can be as reasonable as kayels2 when it comes to your Avon delivery and still not please everyone. I bet some people on there who say "I prefer to be asked" would still be in a bad mood if you knocked in the middle of their tea. There was a similar thread on here that I came across and someone said they cut the brochure up into little pieces, put it back in the bag, and left it out. So that's a better way to use your time and energy compared to ticking a "do not wish to receive" box or writing your own note?
I have to admit that I had someone knock for a Betterware book in the past, and didn't know what I'd done with it. I don't remember him making it clear that the book should be left outside though, as I'm sure I would have left it out. I think that's why it's great advice to put a note on the front of the book, asking for it to be left outside. I have even put a post it note on the front on the latest batch of books I've sent out, reminding them to put the book out and promising that it WILL be collected. We'll see if that does any good!
But as for the part about someone cutting the book up into little pieces, well that's just downright spiteful to be honest! If they didn't want a book, what's wrong with just leaving a note to say so! Some people just never cease to amaze me! :mad:0 -

I doubt many people would realise that you've had to pay for the brochure, that explains a lot. Maybe mention that when saying you'll come back to collect it.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I just tend to not read too much of the discussion time posts, that part of the forum is full of posts from some really nasty, ignorant people.0

Yes, I've thought of doing that, might try it next time.0 -

yes you are right. Because Betterware or is it Kleenze give them for free, people think Avon do to.
Doesn't help when reps leave current books and don't come back for them.0 -
When do I have to inform the tax office I am working for Avon?
Thank you in advance. :T
You should call them now or go online, links on first post, and tell them you are doing Avon.
They will send you all the stuff you need and give you advice, but you won't need to submit a self assessment until next April.0 -
Ladies, I will join all your FB groups when I have got around to changing mine. It currently says I am an SL and I can't edit it as it is a business page, so have to set up a new one.
By the way, advertising for a friend - http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/thegothiccatwalk?ref=ts
And some of the stuff is beautiful! It's wearable even if you are not into gothic wear, including the corsets0 -
