    you can google it :)
  • Nope it didn't work! lol

Ok go to https://www.o r i f l a m e.co.uk obviously not leaving the spaces and search for the current brochure. They're certainly ripping off a few of Avon's things like the new 3 in 1 lipstick gloss thing.

Mmm I'd never heard of o r i f l a m e before (incidentally its not blocked by our firewall at work so not sure why yoiu can't post it on here as we block pretty much everything!!!).

But it is frighteningly similar to Avon ... (I have replaced the company name with "O")

O r i f l a m e is a home business opportunity that has to date attracted over 7,000 Consultants in the UK and Ireland. Established in 1967 in Sweden, "O" sell a 900-strong range of cosmetics and natural skin care products, and is active in over 60 countries. For anyone who is keen on natural ingredients and doesn’t agree with animal testing, "O" could be the perfect home business opportunity.
Running your own "O" home business means that you will be operating as a Sales Consultant. You’ll be distributing product catalogues – there’s a new issue every four weeks – and giving demonstrations to build up your customer base; customers will look to you for advice and inspiration, so a real interest in what you’re selling is a must.

Your income is based on ordering products on your customers’ behalf, buying at a discount of 23-30% and selling on at the catalogue price. If you want to grown your home business you can build a team of Consultants and earn commission from your team’s sales, as well as qualifying for other incentives and rewards such as trips abroad. And if you feel confident to hold beauty demonstrations, you will have the opportunity to earn even more – you even get free training to help you. Successful Consultants can become Managers and then Leaders, each step up the rung bringing greater financial reward.

Registration costs just £15. You’ll receive a Business Case to get you started – a bag, binder, skin care guide, colour chart, paperwork, and lip, skin and fragrance samples. Another Consultant will become your sponsor and they will act as your personal business coach, giving you support as you become familiar with your new home business. There’s also lots of online support such as sales, marketing and training tools, your own virtual office and a regular newsletter. You are also encouraged to attend two free training sessions as soon as possible.

Didn't look at many prices on the website but their lipsticks are £9.45 on offer at £6 so prices similar to Avon full price.

I am after some advice. I am doing my first campaign 14, and I have my order date of 3rd September and delivery date of 9 September. This seems like a long time. I have given out the books to friends and family, and a few others, but feel like I should wait a bit for others, otherwise it would be a long wait for their orders to be delivered. Am I doing wrong by waiting? When I used to get Avon delivered to me, I only waited for a week before my order was delivered, and this was great service.

I would be interested to hear your opinions.

(I love this thread by the way, you girls rock!)

Most customers know depending on when you deliver their book and collect it back, it could be a month before they get their order.

On the order form, always clearly indicate when you will deliver, and then the customer knows. For most of mine, it coincides near payday, so they are happy to wait the month.

Sometimes I am so disorganised I only deliver the book one week before the order is due, so they get it quite quickly. But only one woman ever complained and she is stalker mum, and has personal issues with the whole world so took no notice of her.

And the reason you have so long, if you have territory, it gives you a chance to try and cover most of it!

Still think we are in the stronger position as everybody has heard of Avon.

not so much a rip off. If you look at current advertising, Boots, L'oreal and some of the other big names are all doing the same type of mascara. You get this with any big business in makeup, they all do similar products. The key is the price and customer satisfaction.
  • she has just ordered 2 :-)
Converted comper to MSE. Thank you for all your answers!

I agree, I hadn't heard of it either and I'm really struggling to find something to order that I can't get cheaper from Avon!! But I feel have to order something as she's been a really good customer......and I'm thinking as well if I order from her, she'll keep ordering from me and I won't lose her as a customer! lol

Have a look at some of the "Hollywood" products for lips (under Giordani Gold Lips) - sure I just saw some stuff on there for £1.95?? There is a hand cream as well for £1.95.

Struggling to find anything for a quid for you though!!!!

I think im getting addicted to this forum and the advice is excelllent.
Finally got my account number and going out tomorrow to collect more books. Have also start to make cards for a free gift when spending over £10 for campaign 15. Hoping a few more people will take up my offer.

On the down side, one of the streets that I have been allocated is locally known as the trouble area. OH says no way should i go as people there would take the products and refuse to give me the money. Not worth putting myself in danger, he says I should ask if I can be allocated another road. What does everybody thing any similiar experiences??
