  • Just looking at all my empty boxes from my deliveries wondering what to do with them. What do you all do with them? I have kept some for storing things but ended up binning the rest last delivery and am reluctant to do it every time if there are other ways to utilise them. Came up with the idea that I may take them down to my local Aldi for people to use to take their shopping home in (and accidentally leaving a business card at the bottom of each one ;). Do you think they would allow it? What other ideas do people have. Also, how do you dispose of your old brochures?

  • Am with you, SG; was really looking forward to this as it's an EdP so I thought it would last longer and it seemed to smell really nice in the HT. Sooooo disappointed.

First time I've seen this purse spray, which looks a great idea (would also be great if Avon were to supply refills but not holding my breath on that one).

From HT, 'Herve Leger' has acute accents so am assuming it must be french in which case, yes, the H will be silent and it'll be pronounced something along the lines of Ervey Leyj'r (not forgetting the gutteral r's ;)) - emphasis goes on the emboldened letters and Leyj'r is something akin to our pronunciation the first part of leisure. Having said that, am sure no-one else will know anyway - and, of course, I could be totally wrong!:rotfl:As usual, go with whatever feels right (and you can remember!)

I wore it out on my deliveries yesterday and one of my customers commented on it smelling nice, but when we spoke more about it she did say it smelt quite manly  It's definitely going back and I am tempted to get the CL Absynthe as the tester is lush :D Think you may be right with the pronunciation of Herve Leger, I just need to perfect my sexy french accent now

Not sure how to copy what you wrote! Blooming computers, hence no signature strip for me boo hoo( i cant even see how to put a smiley/sad face on here!!!

I think I'll order the clearance one which I didn't even see until you mentioned it, this site is wicked if only I knew how to use it a bit better!!!!

When I want to post on this thread do I type in quick reply like now or post reply?????

On A positive note C14 sales are a lot higher than C13 yippee

  • No creative ideas on that one, SG, other than using them for storing my 'Treasure Chest', which grows with every campaign. :rotfl:

Occasionally I come across someone, looking for boxes i.e. because they're moving although not really big enough for that in my view.
Good idea of yours re. Aldi although often wonder about the security of leaving our personal details/home addresses anywhere and everywhere.

Old books can be re-used for finding new customers but other than that I tend to just recycle both my boxes and books.

I think if you want smileys :):) it is better to click ''post reply'' because then you just click which you want at the side and they appear in the text, easy peasy :)

To quote somebody you just go to their post and at the bottom there is a ''quote'' button. It will bring up a text box with their quote in and then space for you to reply.

    Hope that made sense?

You're v welcome, LZ. If you use the 'Quote' icon at the bottom of anyone's message it will include their message in yours and all the common little smileys appear at the side of your post so you just click and they're added. (If you do a quick reply then you don't get the option of the smileys.) ;)

As for your signature strip, go to Profile at the top of your screen and follow the instructions. Also a good tip, if you haven't already done, is to subscribe to the thread - if you Post Reply or press Quote then you get the option when drafting a reply (it's underneath the text box)- 'Notification Type'. A great way of keeping in touch with the thread.:T

Hope that helps rather than confuses you further.:rotfl:

PS: See DDAC beat me to it - why can't I be so succinct? LOL

Do you just put them in your recycle bin then? Is it not considered business waste?

How does this work? Do you just put a note on saying that it's out of date? Contact me if you want a updated one?

I break up my avon boxes if I am not reusing them for something else, and when I was a Rep I used to put both boxes and books in our recycling bin for cardboard and paper. The council have never said anything about it, and they were hot to not empty my foodwaste bin for 4 weeks! I had to get a local council member to step in and get it emptied!

Yes, Just make up a little card or print something out with your details saying this book is expired, but if you would like to see a current one contact me.

You can't use it to canvass territory as the territory might belong to someone else but you could give it to people you meet, ask Newsagents if you can leave a few there, as they are free and don't cost the newsagent anything. Give it to family and friends to give to people they know.
