 Evening ladies, some quick and dirty UUs for you:

UU Gale Hayman Lip Lift Down to the last scrapings on this one. WIBA? No. I had moved over to lip balms with nicer ingredients, and I only bought this in desperation when they didn't seem to be working. My lip problems turned out to be medical rather than cosmetic though so I'll use these up and not buy them again

UU Nice & Easy touch up WIBA? Yes. Otherwise I dry my hair hair out dyeing it too often when my grey hair shows through.

UU Mir Moisturising Lotion 20ml WIBA? Yes. I don't like many moisturisers and this has very few of the ingredients I try to avoid. I don't use much of it either so it really lasts.

UU Prescriptives Sassy Lip Gloss. This was a mini size and it takes about 7 pumps to get a lip load on now so I am giving up on it and chucking it out. WIBA? I can't as Prescriptives are no longer with us, but I still have another one on the go. I like the colour on me, but it is a bit sticky and thick compared to my new Jemma Kidds ones for example.

UU Clinique Cream Shaper Chocolate Lustre This is now too small to resharpen so the next time it needs it I'll have to toss it. WIBA? I certainly will! I love it and use it almost daily. Luckily I have another two on the go.

UU BE Celestine I've had this since 2003 and had almost used it up, but gave the last bit to my friend to try because she's never tried mineral make up. WIBA? Probably not. I have enough eye shadows. :-)

I decided that a couple of things were of indeterminate age and I never reached for them anyway so I've chucked away:

Revlon High Dimension Eyeliner Bronze Flash
Revlon High Dimension Eyeliner Garnet Flash

And I realised that I never wear brightly coloured eyeliner any more - and I have never ever worn blue eyeliner - so I gave this lot to my daughter and her friends who were very happy to have them:

    Models Prefer Eyedentity Purple eyeliner
    Models Prefer Eyedentity Blue eyeliner
    Urban Decay Binge
    Urban Decay Ransom
    Urban Decay Deviant
    Urban Decay Crash
    Clinique Cream Shaper Cobalt

I'd never actually used any of them except to test on my hand... :o I even forgot to list them originally. Because they weren't in any kind of regular use it took me almost two months to notice they weren't on the list! :o:eek:

Righto - so that's me a bit lighter then! :D:eek:

A UU today of Charles Worthington Full Volume So Uplifting Volumising Mousse WIBA? No. This was a Takeaways size (thank goodness) which seemed never ending. I used it for a while and obviously put it away because I wasn't very keen (too heavy for my hair). During one of my sort outs I came across it again and decided I was going to use it each day until it was gone. To make it more suitable I have been putting a small amount in the palm of my hand and spraying heat protection spray into it to dilute it a little. This meant that I could get away with using it but I am so glad to see the back of it! I feel as though I have been a good girl and can now reward myself by reverting back to a Trevor Sorbie mousse that I have already started and like!

I started off in June with such good intentions but it all went to pot when I went on holiday (a month in USA), where I bought lots of nail polishes, but I'd already done damage before I left with the freebies in the magazines (Glamour/ MC etc) that I don't usually buy:doh: and perfume at the airport!! Then I get home, stick my Boots AC in the machine and it gives me vouchers for stuff and of course I HAVE to use them, don't I? :p

I promise to do better in August...I really can't see that I'm going to need anything at all...until about Xmas by the look of my stash drawer :rotfl:
  • Hi everyone, not posted for a while but have been reading regularly to keep up with everyone's UUs and recommendations - love them! :T

I've a few UUs to tell you about:

Pears Shower Gel - can't even remember buying this one, its been in my cupboard for a good couple of years. WIBA? Maybe if on offer - nice and gentle, inoffensive fragrance which went well with various body lotions/perfumes etc. Did leave my skin nice and soft.

Dead Sea Source Ginger Body Lotion - again, this had been hanging around for ages since I rescued it from a Boots Clearance stand many moons ago. Now wish I had tried it before as I found I really really liked it!! WIBA - Yes definately. A lovely body lotion for this hot weather - light and refreshing, almost the consistency of a gel. Nice fragrance, which I liked more than I thought I would. Not sure whether Boots still sell this particular product ... might have to go and investigate (when my stash is way reduced that is!).

Smiley Perfume .... WIBA? Yes yes a thousand times yes. My favourite and now its all gone - but I feel good for finishing yet another perfume and have promised myself I will buy some more when some of my mini perfumes have been used up.

Avon Tea Tree & Aloe Vera toner - nothing special but was ok. Avon stopped doing this one ages ago so couldn't buy again even if I wanted to!

I thought there was something else, but it has slipped my mind for now - senior moment! :rotfl:

OK thats it for now so will catch up with you all again soon,
    Love from Candice x

I got some of this from a clearance stand as well and my thoughts echo yours! At first wasn't quite sure about the fragrance but then really got to like it. I've had this on the go since the winter as I chop and change body lotions/butters frequently. Mine will last me quite a time yet but I would buy more of their range.

Forgot to say that yesterday I finished a sachet of Nivea Visage Anti-Wrinkle Q10 Eye Cream. It's difficult to say whether it's any good after only a few applications but it didn't make my eyes water as some creams do. I was really pleased to find that I've got a tube of this in my stash and so I'm going to start using it on a daily basis.

No more UU's to report yet but had a very exciting moment earlier. We've been doing a lot of building recently so my bathroom had got minging with so much dust collected around it. It was my first free day for some time so I emptied it and cleaned it out. I was so happy to see that the stash is massively reduced and is almost manageable. I still need to declutter the cupoards a touch so that I am able to get stuff into them but the issue there is mainly because I have just filled it with all of the toiletry bags we have that you seem to get as gifts. These will be sorted out and reused for other purposes as and when I have a chance. I know we will need 2 out as when we were camping DH took DS with him and I took DD.
He now only has about 4 boxes of contact lenses in the cupboard too so I may take them out of their boxes to try and create more space. He needs to get them used up though cause it's driving me potty!
My focus for this month needs to be using up the baby oil. I've not been moisturising because I don't like it but it has to go so that I can start using some nicer products.
I only have 4 bottles of shampoo left too, that's very exciting for me!
Over the course of this, I have really had it hammered home to me that I don't like bubble bath. I love the smell but it's a PITA to try and wash my hair when there are bubbles in the water. It's also a faff for cleaning :(. So I shan't use it. DH and the children do like it though so maybe I will try to persuade them to just have one bottle on the go at any one time?
The 4 candles which have been on my windowsill for aaaaaaages were lit and left today. They've all gone out by themselves so will now be slung as no longer usefull.
I was also really good and had a sort of my towel box and got rid of some. Yay me!
(Just got the rest of the house to finish off now- not going to be an easy task that!)

    UU:
S&G Flake Away WIBA? Definitely. Previous to using this I wouldn't have chosen a scrub (got it with my hatbox) because they were all pretty ineffective, but this is ah-maaaaaay-zing! :D
The pantene shampoo! Ok, so I cheated and gave it to my three year old as shower gel and I also cleaned the shower room mirror with it so it didn't steam, but it was totally hopeless with my hair. WIBA? No way jose!
