It probably was for me too, but they were good days - I got a good few magazine subs from the extra points too :D

I think my best was paying about 17p and getting 200 points for £20 odd worth of stuff :A

I did shops like that too, it was addictive once you started!

Managed to have a holiday in Cuba last year with my points and this year have paid for flight to Bermuda with Airmiles so I shouldn't complain, could not have afforded these without the points boost.

I now avoid Tesco for H&B nowadays (as well as Boots) and my points total is less than a £5 this quarter.

Just popping in to say hi. No more UU's for me at present but I'm keeping on with it all. Not liking the stash at the moment because we have got so much work in the house going on and it's creating dust everywhere. If I didn't have so much rubbish lying around the house then it would be so much easier to clean. Never mind, I'll get there in the end!

Finished a shimmery body moisturiser (why would anyone want to be shimmery?) that was a gift, so feeling quite noble about that. Can't remember the brand, never heard of it before! And another of the mini lipglosses. I'm another one exporting this idea to other areas of life - mainly clothes and herbal teas! Using things up can get addictive. :rotfl::A
  • Hi! I have just seen this thread, but I have basically been doing this for the last few months since we started moving house. We are in our new house now and don't have much bathroom storage so desperatly trying to cut down on everything. Trouble is, I usually run out of conditioner or something and then end up "stocking up" which i know is not what I should be doing!

I have bought a dispencer for my bathroom wall which has a section for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. I find this helpful as I don't get tempted to use something else before the old bottle has finished. I fill the dispencer up, and once it is empty, I put another bottle in.

I have done this too. After joining this challenge I haven't bought candles, vitamin tablets and tea. When I use up any of these items I add a £1 in to my pot which I started when I joined this challenge. It feels good to de-clutter through actually using things up.:T
Good idea Becky. I joined the PAD thread this month so I can combine both, I had a MASSIVE clear out this weekend and threw out so much out of date vitamins and beauty products that I think I could easily put £20 in mu PAD pot. The recycling bin was full. What was worse was that somw of the beauty products were so old that the labels had rubbed off, so I've no idea what half of them were:eek:

I'm back from hols and have a few boring UUs to report....
    • Pantene shampoo and conditioner 400 ml bottles
    • Cussons Shower gel
    • Morrisons Shower scrub
I too have received the free Pantene samples - was chuffed to bits with them (sad I know!)

Yesterday I had to stock up on routine toiletries and bought a Dove shampoo and conditioner (on offer at Mr S for £1.25 each), a Johnsons shower gel (half price at Mr S) and the Mr S own brand coconut shampoo and conditioner to try (about 80p for the two I think) and 2 Dove roll on deodorants for 83p each at Mr S (half price I think).

That should last me a few weeks......

I opened a new bottle of vosene today. I haven't finished the shampoo that's there - I have some small amounts of tigi oatmeal and honey, toni and guy straightening stuff - both of which I love - and some pantene sleek and smooth (must've bought that AGES ago :o) but no matter which one I used recently, none of them seems to make my hair look good. Never have I been so excited to open a bottle of shampoo before :rotfl: I love the smell of it and my hair looks gorgeous :D

Wow! That's some serious point collecting! I know what you mean though, my points total is £6 so far.

Oh, and I bought a new face moisturiser (some Garnier stuff) and two Vaseline hand creams on Sunday (they were on special offer) as I am in need off them at the minute. The face moisturiser was only three pounds something, and so far, so good. :)
