One tiny uu: a bath fizzer used in a bowl of water to soak my feet in. I'm targeting these bath fizzers/bombs in this way now as I rarely have a bath.

I went into the BS yesterday just to smell the lemon BB and I liked it but I was very strong and didn't succumb (made a mental note to buy it in the future though once I have run out of lotions, if that ever happens). I also had a look at the carrot moisturiser which a lot of you have. I didn't like the smell though and the texture seemed a little heavy for my face - skin type combination. So I walked away empty handed :A.

Two use ups - that gloopy shower jelly stuff from Lush - WIBA?? no. even iwthout my anti-lush leanings now, I didnt like this at all. I got it in one of their £15 bag offers, and it was just nasty and annoying !!

also - Original Source mango and macadamia shower gel. WIBA? - yes, quite probably - love the smell !! got lots of other things to use up first though, not least a mountain of soap bars from the afore mentioned lush bags.

using a S&G butter up at the moment - dont like it much, my skin seems much dryer than is has been for ages !!!

UU! :j Lacura Energising Day Cream. WIBA? No. Pants on my skin: only feels like it is surface deep, and make-up doesn't sit that well on top of it. Not a patch on the night cream, which I have actually used in lieu of day cream when I have run out of before, and make=up sits perfectly on top of that. Maybe they confused what they were putting in the tubs.

A few use ups and no purchases this month, apart from mouthwash and dental floss for my son which doesn't count.

I used up a Mitchum solid deodorant. I found another one that has hardly been used. I would buy again, but my only reservation is that when it gets near the end it keeps breaking off and I lost patience and threw it in the bin. Next time I might try the roll-on. I've also used up my Herbal Essences shampoo and nearly finished the condtiioner. Not keen on any of the bits of shampoo I have left but am going to perservere at least until the end of the month. Getting low on handwash but am going to use shower gel if I run out, as I have loads of shower gel and not keen on all of them.

Really wanted to buy the new liquorice one when I was at Boots today

Excellent idea  I rarely have baths either in the summer (I do have lots of showers, don't worry!). I've got one of those Clairol Foot Spas as well so I bet I could get the water really fizzy!!

Hope everyone's keeping well and remembering to pamper themselves with all their lovely products. No UUs for me to tell you about this time, but quite a lot of things are on their last few uses, so hopefully soon I will have a nice long list.

    Bye for now,
    Love from Candice x

    Afternoon lovelies

I was invited to a bit of a girlie swap fest this week. The invitation said to

    "Bring all your
    • bought just because of social pressure Virgin Vie and Avon purchases,
    • any other unwanted purchases that you were talked into by somebody on commission,
    • unwanted gifts
    • and gently used or barely tested items that you don't use that are taking up drawer space
and swap them for shiny new stuff!

We'll also do manicures, pedicures, face masks and foot baths. (Bring your own bowl!)"

We were all emailing back and forth saying what we were bringing and everybody expected me to have loads of stuff to swap. But I didn't. I want all of my stuff!:o

Finally I caved to pressure (and tempted by the promise of "shiny new stuff" no doubt) and collected up a few bits and bobs to swap.

Too Faced Quickie Chronicles Fabulous Flirt ( the eye colours and blush used once) Bought because it looked cool, but not blown away with the quality.
Too Faced Insurance Policy eyeshadow palette (all shades tested) I only bought this to get the eye base that went with it it. The colours are all a bit bright for me but I did think I might use them as eyeliner sometimes.

new, sample sized (I have similar products I like better.)
    Elemis eyes awake gel 5ml
    Ren Frankincense Repair Cream 1 x 5ml + 4 x 3 ml
    Ren Active7 Eye Gel 2 x 3 ml
Ren Hydrocalm global protection 3 x 3 ml
Ren Matte balancing fluid 2 x 3 ml
    Zero% body lotion 30ml
Bergamot & Gingko Biloba body lotion 30ml

new and full size (I have similar products I like better.)
    Shizen Lip Balm

The girls were V disappointed with my paltry selection but even parting with this much was hard. :o:p I had to root in my bag for extras to throw in, and paint a lot of nails to get any deals done! :D

I went home with a tested make Believe Tinted Moisturiser and Highlighter, plus a brand new Jemma Kidd Bronzer and Highlighter, plus I got my nails painted with Nails Inc Leicester Square which is a real chocolate bar foil purple - so of course I want my own one now! I also got to try out some fab Sparitual nail colours. (More about them later.):o

I plucked almost everybody's eye brows and filed and buffed a lot of toenails to earn my keep.

Everyone seemed happy with their swaps and getting some basic girly maintenance done for free. We're already talking about doing it again in a few weeks.

This post is getting really long so I'll do my confessions later!:D

I feel I have come a long way since first joining this challenge in January and not just with toiletries, I seem to be doing this with a lot of things I buy or don't as is often the case nowadays!

I have done this too. After joining this challenge I haven't bought candles, vitamin tablets and tea. When I use up any of these items I add a £1 in to my pot which I started when I joined this challenge. It feels good to de-clutter through actually using things up.:T
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

It ought to taste of it (they usually do have good flavours, and tbh, even though I only tried it on the back of my hand, I could smell the liquorice aroma :o) I really want it too, and know I have to have it. But I'm waiting till a No 7 voucher comes out, I've got quite a few photos I want to print at the kiosks, so I should get a few vouchers that way :T
