we are all very tired and just waited around the ward for 2 hours while they did his discharge letter:mad:
Goodness me! It's good that he's now home - you'll enjoy taking care of him!0 -
I bought one or two medical type items today from Boots including Optrex and ended up with a £5 skincare voucher. Luckily(?) there were some items on the reduced shelf and I ended up getting a Sanctuary Pro-Collagen Youth Serum . It was reduced to £5 and so I got it for nothing which is sort of ok except I don't need any face creams - that's two I've acquired this month
. There was something similar reduced in the Dr Lowe range but I decided upon the Sanctuary one as I've got some of their moisturiser which I really like.
I have had some UUs this month and feel like I'm making progress. My toiletry spending is definitely a lot more under control than it used to be, however, there is still room for improvement! Next month I will do what some of you have already started to do in keeping a list of UUs and new items in on a month by month basis in order to keep in check that I am going in the right direction!0 -
Another UU for me: Tesco cleanser (their version of C&P). WIBA? Probably not. It worked great at first but then didn't! Am still looking for a C&P alternative.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Another couple of UUs for me this evening! I finished a bottle of Radox Ginseng & Black Pepper Bath Soak and WIBA? Definitely. It's great for sore muscles. I woke up with an achy shoulder this morning and after a good soak later have got a lot of movement and feel great. Plus, it smells amazing. A Definite Buy Again! The other UU was a pack of Boots Cucumber Face Wipes. WIBA? Probably not, as the make up removing ability wasn't that great and left my skin feeling taut. I ended up using them with cleanser and, as it was on a buy one get one free will continue to do that. Just not right for me, I guess.Trying for daily wins, and a little security in an insecure world.0

I had a surprise in the post this morning, received a 50 ml bottle of Johnson's body lotions as one of 20,000 lucky winners. Hurray!
Also finished off tonight Boots Eye make up remover lotion, this is a great product and cheap and doesn't make my eyes sting. Definitely will be buying this again once I have used Boots Botanics soothing eye make up remover, this is a really good product too but prefer the one I have just used up.No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j0 -
I've had a few more use ups, but just popping in to say that I've got to spend some of my savings from the challenge - my ghd's have died! Gutted.
Fortunately I have an old other-brand pair to use in the meantime, but this seems like a good use of my little savings pot from the challenge - so not buying toiletries has been extra useful in times of (hair) crisis
Now, do I go for one of the special offers that include a free shampoo/hair treatment/serum/other potentially useless hair product along with the strighteners? :rotfl:
Buy, buy, buy! And give the "free" stuff to a friend, or ebay them, or give to a charity. Of course buy the straighteners you want, and any free stuff is a bonus.
No major use ups from me. Just a non descript chemical free mint bath. Definitely not buy again, lovely bubbles but so watery. I think one bottle has done a handful of baths.
Also used up Clarins firming face cream - a "freebie" bonus gift one. WIBA no. Will I want as a freebie bonus gift thingie - yes. I cannot believe how I have gone right off Clarins creams. Maybe my skin has changed! Eeek. Anyway as long as I buy the Clarins stuff I do use at bonus time I get all this stuff quite literally as a bonus.
Night all. :A
No major purchases either so thats good.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Another UU to report, a Body Shop Shea Butter Body Scrub, WIBA - probably not, while I love the smell, I found the 'scrubby bits' annoyingly non-scrubby, too big to rub on my skin they just gathered in the gaps between my fingers, and I dont think it moisturised much either - although it did leave my skin with thin covering of something oily as after using it the water was beading on my skin. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

A UU - Botanics Overnight foot cream. I actually use it in the mornings after my shower. WIBA? Yes, if there was an offer. I'm finding myself reluctant to buy anything at normal price now, nothing is that good!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

a couple of UU last night for me:
FINALLY 900ml tresemme conditioner WIBA? don't think they do this 'flavour' one any more but already have a replacement so don't need any for a while.
Tesco's cheapy coconut conditioner WIBA? no, i only use it when shaving and even for that it's a bit too watery.
Tesco's cheapy razor WIBA? no but have loads of such razors as OH gets them to try and then hates them. Obviously when one is trying such things one must get 2-3 packets of 10 instead of just one to test! I just don't get why he does such things.
think i'll have to wait some time before i use up anything else.
I did give myself a french manicure two days ago and it's the first time ever i've not messed up the nail tips so i may just keep doing this a couple of times a week to use up countless bottles of nail polish.0
