No probs hun, I can see both view points honestly.

I think I asked for advice way back when I was really late doing the days comps, and realised that the comp refered had finshed but that the new weeks comps was running. then on reading the old t&c's also discovered that we had missed over 1/2 of the comps that had been run as they were posted as one offs.

Ideally I would prefer to amend the end date weekly, and keep it as one thread, but i am having more bad days than good atm, so know I would completely forget about it. As it is atm, GrannyBiker and quite a few others, have it bookmarked now, and bump to post the new comp when whenever I miss it. I often wish in cases like this we could just have the 2 threads but link them together, same as the last comp has been handled :)
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

  • yeah two times, i really wish now mse would come out with an official deffinition. tbh i think if all regular comps were posted in a bumped each week/day/month thread int he regulars board and linked on the regular threads then a lot more people would use them. as it is they cba to check the regulars board, so those people who do use it for reg comps, and the thread maintainers get alot less thanks for their effort than they should really imo.

the tab and puzzler threads i love because they are kept up to date with the new comps each time a mag comes out, and as ive said elsewhere before that is how i would love to see all the comps from websites/amgs which run them regularly posted, so one thread for eg the michael ball show comps, with new ones added as they come out and a new thread started when we hit the limit, one thread for shortlist comps, one thread for gmtv/daybreak comps. i would then find it far less time consuming to keep up and enter what i want to and skip over the sites (like horror chanel which never lets me log in no matter what i do) that i dont enter. that will never happen here though.

i really do think that daily and weeklies with changeable answers/prizes should be a thread that is bumped, and if people cba to check foir them by subscribing or bookmarking or usiing the appropriate thread then its kinda their tough luck if they dont enter and better chance for those of us who do make that teeny bit more effort to remember them each week. it takes far less time to post a new reply than to post a whole new comp.

    New Question?

How much will it cost you to send a BBM?
    • The same as an SMS
    • The same as an MMS
    • Free when in the UK
    • It depends on your carrier
No idea of the answer I'm afraid :(

I'm pretty sure it's free when in the UK. Hopefully someone in the know can confirm this.
