I would do it if I thought it might be their first ever PM - it took me days to notice my first one! And even longer to get into the habit of checking to see if I'd got any.

Now I've got it set up to alert me as soon as I get one.

  • i rarely get Pm's but there nice if you do. mostly they were an ongoing argument with sum1 that they wanted to continue over Pm, or just someone being nice

  • I have had very few - my first one was someone asking if the blender I bought was any good and I didn't notice I'd got it for a couple of weeks!

Ah, you have to set that up, dp you? I thought it did it automatically, but this obviously an option I chose without understanding what I was doing. Obviously I hadn't been PM'd by then.

That's why I wondered why people tell others they're PMing, cos I thought they would knwo anyway.

Funny thing though, I've just done it myself. I just told someone I'll PM them.:rotfl:
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

I don't always log into the site, but just browse, in which case I don't see PMs. Like other posters, I don't get them very often, so don't remember to look for them.
