Hi Spoon, I've decided that as there is an extra day in July I should go for 11 after all. I've spent all my wages already, so will try and be good this month!

    Thanks very much!

Shiny new month's thread and I'm on the first page:j. Must try really hard at the start of the month as have a few things on later in the month that means NSDs won't be likely.

Tixy has decided she isn't going to be the one that mentions to Spoon that she has put July as last month in her first post and forgotten the link to the June thread altogether :)

My smilies are still here honey - are you on new style forum or still on the older version?

    Happy No Spending everyone.

    smart a**e...... there's always one...

Thanks, Tixy, was in a rush when I did the first post.... will amend it later:o:o

I can already declare that tomorrow (July 1st) won't be an NSD :(
Nor will the 1st of any month be - unless it's a weekend - now I'm counting Total NSDs (darn and blast that 1st of the month Direct Debit for my TV Licence rolleyes.gif)

Planning to make the most of it being a 'Spend Day' though. Main jobs for tonight are re-sort the freezers, make sure the inventory is up-to-date, and meal plan as much as I can for July (at least up to 10th when the next Direct Debit goes out). Then I need to make a food shopping list for tomorrow morning (not forgetting the milk of course!!!).

I'm also going to be on the look-out for shorts and vest style T-shirts (I've been struggling for non-tatty, decent fitting and appropriate clothing in the heatwave), and a new pair of footwear for running (the trainers I've been using are cheap and heavy ones I bought for 'casual wear'). I rather suspect the footwear alone could come to more than all the other items added together (including the Direct Debit!)

The other thing I need to do is sort out a laptop for DS to take to Uni. He 'found' one on Tuesday at Arg0s, then changed his mind yesterday. But we can't find an Arg0s anywhere with the second one in stock, and it's not available for delivery either. So he found a refurbished version (slightly dearer, but also a better spec) at PC W0rld - which is home delivery only, so would need to be ordered on-line. However, when I left for work at 12:45 he was off to 'scout the net' to see what else he could find up to an agreed maximum price - and I'm still waiting to hear what his final selection is.........

  • My target for July is going to be 15 NSDs, thanks very much your spoonliness.

Lots of little spends last month but still 18 NSDs. Disappointed but never mind. I'm 'doing a Cheryl' if you will in July. All money spent, however and whenever it is spent, will be counted.

I have regular payments coming out on 5 days of the month. Groceries account for another 5 and I've left myself 6 spend days 'just in case'. I will try to get my spend days to coincide with each other but we'll see how it goes.

    Good luck everyone :D
