I looked at the prep and prime and thought it looked very good. Anything that helps with the 'airbrushed' look is a winner (me, airbrushed :rotfl:)

Is the moisturecover a concealer? The MAC artist suggested that one to me. Apparently I need a shade lighter for my undereyes and the same shade of concealor as my foundation for acne and scarring etc. I was hoping for a multi - use product however if the foundation coverage is as good as advertised I shouldn't need two. Just the under eye one!

I know that the Glasgow stand does that £25 thing, unsure about the Edinburgh one. I just really want to try the products and see if they suit my skin before I pay (possibly) over £100 on them. Surely they should be ok with that? *crosses fingers (and toes)*

Lola - I have a love/hate relationship with my hairdresser. I love that 'just done' look but I always end up with the same style. Need a complete restyle!!

Argh, I chipped my tooth earlier in the week but it seemed ok (no pain) and I only noticed because it felt weird against my tounge IYKWIM? When I was coming into work earlier (in torrential rain) the cold really irritated it and now I'm in agony. I have managed to get an emergency appointment for tomorrow (I'm sure my work just think I'm skiving :rotfl:) I'm seething though, I have been a customer/patient for years but because I've come off a maternity benefit (benefit? i got 3 monthly checkups instead on 6 monthly when pregnant!) I am required tp pay a £30 deposit . This is normally for first timers and no shows. Just angry because the receptionist accused me of not going for ages, I was like check your records I was last there 5 months ago for my check up. I have a check up next month too!! Anyway, rant over and back to work lol.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

  • Mia, i too have to visit the dentist, i have one remaining wisdom tooth that hasn't cut the gum, it can't there is no room, however every so often it trys to cut, but this time i have been left with a growth on my gum and it bleeds everytime i touch it with my tounge, Okay i know i am a fully fledged hypochondriact, but i googled mouth cancer so am dead worried, i couldn't get an appointement until 3rd of September!! Although my dentist is an nhs one so will only have to pay £16 ish!! How much will the rest of the treatment likely to cost??

Sharon, wisdom teeth are pains aren't they? I have two cutting on my left hand side, the gums sore and they keep catching the side of my mouth - actually i'm going to mention that to my dentist tomorrow cos I don't think theres space for them!

My dentist is an NHS dentist too, although its the owner doing the emergency surgery tomorrow and not my dentist. (another rant as he runs two rooms and takes so long!)

The deposit is refundable if the treatment is free. Or its taken off the cost so its not too bad but i'm just annoyed that I need to pay it because (as it was put over from the receptionist) i'm a benefit scrounger! Argh! She ran through all the usual 'do you get free treatment, NHS excemptions etc' with such an air of contempt that I felt embarrased on the phone. I feel so sorry for people who do claim benefits (legitemately) as it would put me off going.

I'm sure its not mouth cancer (although its always better to be safe than sorry!) but 6th September?? Thats ages away, what would happen if you were in extreme pain?

    Evening

Alex - glad you got an accessory for the wedding and it would absolutely be rude to leave £7 shoes on the shelf. Sorry you are feeling a bit rubbish, big hugs!

Lola - I even get that with hubby sometimes when I take too long in shops but then I get really impatient in his boy stores.

Mia - hope the cold doesn't develop into much, esp if you are working.

Sharon - how lovely if some of you get to meet up for coffee and some chit chat. I'd love to meet some of you but I'm probably the furthest away from everyone and everything hehe.

Ice - I'm very impressed at your dedication to the gym, you must be super fit. Wish I was so motivated.

Had a bit of a rubbish day to be honest so I'm going to chill out in the tub with a book. Been sneakily looking at houses 450 miles away, near my mam and dad... god I'm so emotional just now!

    Hi Giddynici.

I have recently returned to the gym after an absense of 6 months so its the novelty factor at the moment. The hard part is going to be keeping it going!

    Morning all

Up bright and early again despite being out last night for a glass or two or perhaps three:o
It was a friends birthday the same day as DS1's so we met them and the children all played in the play area, was going to go to the gym this morning but may have to postpone until a bit later.
Nothing planned for today, have to go to the Post Office with some parcels and no doubt at some point I will have a houseful of boys- usually 5 all on the xbox
  • Morning everyone, am just popping in on my phone to say hello and just let everyone know I'm still alive but am without a laptop at home since ours broke :( so no blogging or surfing for me boo

Hopefully we should get a new laptop after our holiday but that's not going to be for at least 5 or 6 weeks :( I miss the internet, forgot how much I rely on it for so many things, how did I cope before?!?!
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

  • :hello:To queenie, bless you , no laptop, not good, i couldn't get through a day without mine:D

Lola, your house sounds like mine, on a daily basis i have groups of boys at my house. DS goes to air cadets and on a monday and thursday i have at least 4 boys ironing:eek: their uniforms and polishing their shoes- quite bizarre really. I'd rather have it that way tho, at least i know where he is:) clingy mum.....

Weather seems okay so may do an outisde activity, perhap dogs to the prom that way the kids can paly on the park aswell.

Wearing skinny jeans (tesco) Long flowery tunic primark and birkenstocks. I have my usual bangles and earrings in.

Yesterday i actually contemplated resuriecting the winter wardrobe, it was bloomin cold here. Maybe a job for sunday, boooo hissss!!
