    Its very quiet today!

I never managed the Next sale, I valued my sleep a bit too much. I'm not too much a fan of their clothes either but they seem to be the only shop that stocks jeans that make my hips look curvy rather than bleurgh. The kiddies clothes are cute too.

Wore an uber boring outfit again to work. Tomorrow's will be more exciting!!:D

    Evening all

Hectic day, had DS2's party this morning, not his birthday until end of August but its so much easier to have it before the schools break up and everyone goes on holiday, then DS1 was at a party this afternoon so only got in 1/2 hr ago. Think it'll be fish and chips for tea.

    Todays outfit

    Floral MAxi skirt DP's
    Navy vest F+F
    Gladiators

I went into the Next sale with the sole purpose of trying to get a suit for my mum (don't usually shop in there). She needs Petites though and as usual they only had two styles in the sale - jackets easy enough to find but no matching trousers anywhere in sight. Stupid shop.

After failing in River Island I went to Oxfam and bought myself loads of books and some vintage scarves instead :) Oh and lots of lovely bits for an upcoming blog giveaway from various other shops.

I'm currently rocking around the house in the delightful combo of stripy pj bottoms, odd socks and my Kermit jumper. Stylish eh? I've made a skirt successfully though, woop! :D

Oh well done on the skirt alex
I missed the next sale out, but I did go to the other stores which had sales on. Got a nice dress from river island sale but everything else was from charity shops.
  • Relented yesterday and had a bowl of frosties before bed:mad: me thinks sugar is evil!! Good for you Queenie, so what sort of things do you eat-sorry all the questions but i'm really struggling to find things i like. The trouble is i eat that much sugar i don't really know what else to eat:o

I eat loads of different things, today for breakfast I'm having bacon and egg, and a small bowl of blueberries, for dinner yesterday I had salmon fillet with rosted squash, roasted courgettes, peppers and mushrooms, with coleslaw and salad, for dinner today I'm having a roast dinner (well my version) roast beef, roasted turnips (instead of potatoes), brussels, cabbage, mashed carrot and swede without the gravy or yorkshire.... fruit and full fat greek yogurt is good at breakfast time, and I'm a huge fan of soysnuts!

dunno if that helps or not! x

    Morning,

Alex - had a look in RI for your waistcoat yesterday but no joy I'm afraid. It was all utter tat that was left in that branch.

Looks cold out today. Will be wearing big cardi over blouse, which - on a positive note - means I only have to iron the front! :rotfl:Oh dear, really am the undomesticated goddess!

    Have a good Sunday.

    xx

    Hello Lovelies!

Just checking in before I attempt to do battle with the sewing machine.
It's a quiet day here after a late and lairy night:o. It's very grey and blowy outside but at least it's dried my jumble sale washing.

    Wearing:
Vintage black cheesecloth hareems with embroidered ankles and waist (Car Boot)
    Ancient grey vest (TopShop, 2001)
Vintage silver lurex and black quilted waistcoat (Car Boot)
Silver bangles, earrings and rings (India)

    See you soon!

You're welcome to pm/email me if you want to talk about it more in private x

I'm so glad the cricket club was cancelled because I feel less bad about not making the effort to go this morning, I was exhausted and needed a chill out. Where is the Zoe's place one? can I bus/train it?

are you sure we're not living a in one of those bizarre parrallel universes...I attended to my eybrows, tonails and hair legs too! We had a beef roast but ironing pah! I guess all that will change when I have children. I also did some food shopping to get through the week and had a bit of a wardobe sort out. We were going to the pics tonight but the film we wanted to see had sold out so came home all dressed up for nothing! (yes I get dressed up for the cinema! we'll semi)

I wore river island slim jeans £3 charity shop, per una bronze peep toe shoes £3.99 charity shop, miss selfridge leopard print top/dress £2 carboot, black waistcoat 50p carboot, pics in usual place ;)

yup the weather is bloody crap, where has our summer gone!! I'm considering wearing boots tomorrow :( (am just wearing the top/dress and flip flops now I'm home and lounging)

Right think I'm going to curl up with my book for a bit, am reading Dear John a the moment, apparently it was a film too but I've not heard of it. So out of the loop with films since I gave up my unlimited cinema card, wish odean did one.

    Night all xx

Queenie - FACT membership is £30 (I think) and gets you 3 free tickets, cheaper ticket prices and discounts in loads of places in and around Wood St/Bold St. Not as good as an unlimited cinema card but it's a decent deal and a far more interesting place to watch films than the boring old Odeon :)
