Ah PF, sorry you're not feeling great at the moment (hugs).
Thanks for all the advice and reassurance that my dress will be fine. I do need to buy shoes though, unless I can borrow off a friend. I have very few shoes since my feet grew a size when pregnant. That should be cheap enough though as new look/matalan/peacocks have pretty good shoes for very little.
I've arranged to go to Bristol before and after (as the dinner is half way between home and there) so my parents will have Dylan overnight (first time ever!) so while I'm there I'm hoping to meet up with DB if she's free at all.
While browsing for ideas I came across this dress - not for the dinner! Is it wrong to love it?

Uck, grey and miserable here this morning, though not bitterly cold, just autumnal chill. I'm still running in slow motion after being ill. I fell asleep when I went upstairs to lay clothes out...so haven't sorted that either. I am however in a clean tracksuit...and that will do while I do odds and ends of housework and wander out to the field again late this morning.

Hearing those miners are finally coming out one by one really has cheered me up today.

Hi everyone, I'm going to join you all for daily outfit posts in an effort to make an effort, if that's OK?

Today is:
- Grey jersey dress with black/brown/white geometric print - H&M
- Purple long cardi - H&M sale
- Grey woolly tights - Can't remember where from but they were in a clearance basket by the till for 80p
- Brown ankle boots - Schuh
- Jewellery - Fossil watch, antique silver and green amber ring, grandma's silver locket and Temporary Secretary sewing charm necklace.

Inspired by you all I bid on some boots on ebay last night but it's probably for the best that I didn't win. Very poor at the mo so need to get into a 'make do and mend' mentality *sigh*

Didn't get to post yesterday as was working in ascot then trained into Chiswick for dinner with hubby and an american work buddy - lovely thai meal... lovely wine - late train home - opps...

I have to say Vicki - welcome back and do not touch that dress with a bargepole. It's awful (sorry!)

That Monsoon dress is amazing. I showed it to DH and he asked if it was in my size, I wouldn't have anywhere to wear it unless he is taking me away somewhere fab.

PF - I am amazing at tough love, I don't do compassion or cuddles often.

This morning I am in skinny jeans and a blue and white striped top. No jewellery yet as I'm not properly ready.
