It's quite a chunky wooden heel and it's just come off about halfway up :( I found a glue gun in the cupboard at work and have attempted to stick it back on but I don't hold out much hope. B****r!! These are my only pair of knee high boots :(
  • :( If they're wooden you might struggle to get a match too. Where are they from, how long have you had them? Perhaps a letter of [STRIKE]stroppy complaint[/STRIKE] sad disappointment??

Argh, tht s soooo frustrating, alex - i still haven't got round to taking my favourite ever shoe boots in to the cobbler, to no doubt be told a snapped heel can;t be fixed :(

Depends on your cobbler! I use a fab family run business where nothing is impossible, replacement heels, sticking down torn leather, they've even been known to add an elastic insert to a friend's boots when she put on weight and couldn't get them zipped up.

I swopped them with Queenie (where is she btw? haven't seen her for ages!) who got them from a car boot so no hope of return.

There's a fab little independent cobblers by my dad's shop so I might pass them to him tonight and see if he can take them and get anything done. Fingers crossed!

Oh, those boots were lovely, Alex! I'm sure the independant guy will be able to sort it out even if it means replacing both heels.
  • Independent cobblers are normally very good, my local one seems to pride themselves on 'saving shoes'. Hope you get them fixed.

Sorry for the un-clothes post - but I finally managed to hand my notice in about an hour ago. My heart is going ten to a dozen. I'm going back to uni :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
goanmad, what a fab bed! I'm a little envious! I'm still grumpy about a bed we had to buy from wretched IKEA because I had to get it for a visitor with a days notice. :( Wretched thing is now in one of the spare rooms. :( I was watching ebay for the right bed and had been looking at local antique shops and ....grumble grumble.

In order to be dressed tomorrow I'm going to lay clothes out tonight. Pathetic or sensible I wonder. :)
