another thing which turned up today was one eyeshadow..which turned up in a massively too big, book-sized box with heaps of packaging, which i felt was a little unnecessary!

Oh I hate it when that happens. Urban Outfitters are terrible for doing it - I bought a necklace in the sale from them a while ago (just a little charm on a chain type necklace) and it came in a proper shoe box sized thing! Bizarre.

havent ordered from them before, but this box was like the size of a vhs case lol
and the item is only a little eyeshadow..
not that its too bad as i recycle / reuse all my packaging for ebay things / sending parcels..but still!!

the new collection stuff does look cute tho, i may end up ordering one for me as well haha

I really like some of the nail varnishes but I don't know enough about makeup in general to know which of the proper stuff might be best to buy.

Alex, their eyeshadows are amazing! As are the blushers and eyeliners. Foundation is so-so...
infact the only thing I wouldn't rate is the mascara.

Funny you should say that - I swear by their X mascara for daytimes.

Am tempted by a new blusher or two but money is tight this month so I can't buy any so that's that! Probably shouldn't be going to this vintage fair tonight but meh, I'll just have no social life for the rest of the month instead. No change there then...

I have a banana and cinnamon cake cooking...also made a few cupcake sized ones for snackage. Smells like heaven

Mmmmmmmmm. I've got a recipe for cider cinnamon crunch cake which I cannot wait to make! Might have a quiet weekend of baking ahead of me.
