Love those, Alex! Limited Collection do some fab stuff.
As you, my style icon, decree it, it shall be so:D..the cocktail dress bit. Only I was trying to keep a lowish profile. :D:D

I'm having style doubt everywhere ATM, we have to paint an outside wall and we have a few dozen pots of colours ranging from lurid terracotta (like a nasty tapas bar) to granny's knickers..I feel so dithery ATM.

Sounds mad but have you tried aubergine as an outdoor paint shade? It's an amazing backdrop against green foliage.

No, but I might try that in the other bit in the garden! Love the idea.

This is a more diffiult thing, its a courtyard, and needs to be very subtle to blean with old red brick (its listed, but some daft begger in the past has built one breezeblock wall, rendered on and patched the red brick wuth blocks too!) There will be no planting there, its a farm yard, and technically we can leave it, but ....it makes me cross. Listed buildings officer ..who allowed the ruddy breeze block'' would approve white, off white or a ''sympathetic colour''. Trying to tone with the brick seems best option...I think. Thinking something like Farrow and Ball ''dead salmon'' atm. Against the red brick it just looks like....old nude underwear though, with a dark grey strip for the bottom three feet-ish Dutch pink looks sickly. white would both stand out more and demand repainting next year

Oh Alex - those shoes are gorgeous. Great choice.

Wore a black tee, grey cardi and jeans today. Boring really, but in my defence the T-shirt has a leoprd print cross on it which livens it up a bit.

Monsoon in Glasgow this evening. My street's flooded. Crazy weather.

Well I hung about at work a little while and then went to help at my friends' guide unit as she was short of a leader..have just got home, and then had a quick tea, and am currently stewing a panful of apples I was given on mondY. Not sure whatil do with them all, I think it's ok to freeze some tho..
Whilst that's doing, I'll have a cutting out session of some more clutches I think..
  • Ooh, the clutch you made for your sister is great. Do you think you could do a tutorial for it on your blog?

What I'd do with a panful of stewed apples is eat them straight out of the pan! :)

I adore stewed apple, and I call stewed apple with porridge ''Capitol Breakfast'' its so popular here it needed a name. I also spice the stewed apple for porridge...a little cloves, a lot of cinnamon.

This morning: a weird black maxi picked up in Tesco (I'm going to to have to ban supermarket shopping, its got too easy) t I think is probably designed to wear over a swimming costume. The shape of the top/front is totally odd, and wouldn't have bought it had I realised. It only works if your boobs are unsupported and in need of support. At least half of my (balconette, not modest full cup) bra shows. Any way, thats been dealt with by adding a long sleeved t.

Its been an easy morning here, like summer, and they are predicting 22 degrees on Sunday!

    Brown tweedy long waistcoat, primark
    plum coloured pixie boots, primark
    giant purple cocktail ring, primark
    faux fur headband, primark

    Photogenic
Stewed apple half and half with mashed potato – eat with sausages (veggie ones in my case) or pork - traditional German dish called Heaven and Earth.
