Oooh, has anyone else been sent the preview email for the H&M website? I think it's just gone out to anyone who's signed up for their newsletter thing. Can't quite decide whether I like it or not.

I got it, there was a shawl collar cardigan in it I quite liked.

Haha the shirts were great - wish we had fabby charity shops like that! I do love the waistcoat tho, it's rly long :)
    It's rly rainy today..

Alex I tried to sign up to it but it wouldnt' let me, as my email address "wasn;t valid" !! :(
But roll on the 16th lol
What don't you like about it??

The layout is a bit funny with really small pics of the stuff and loads of boxes at the bottom but I'm not sure if that's just cos I'm using a really ancient version of IE.

The way they've photographed the clothes is a bit off putting as well. Teeny pics and a bit cluttered - I quite like to just see the item not on a skinny model.

But I'm in a bad mood so perhaps I'm just being fussy :rotfl:

    Morning all.

    Casual Friday at work so.
I am in midnight blue Hemp Chinos (look like linen) got them in an online sale
olive and sand striped polo shirt
Red wool cashmere mix blazer/sport jacket it would be vintage but I bought it myself in a sale in 1991 from Moss Bros
dark brown suede tassle loafers (well scotchguarded it's September and I am in the west of Scotland)
Belt with repeated flags all round it.

going out tonight to Clockwork pub in the south side.
Will be wearing jeans, vintage black turn down collar pleated front evening dress shirt with plain silver cuff-links , leather jacket and boots.

Oh, that's quite near me. I'm a Shawlands girl!

Caroline - feel free to DM me the details of what the sponsor's proposing and I'll have a look over it.

    Hungover and badly dressed!

    xx
  • I like the cardigan, Douglas.
Will have to wait and see when the site launches re: layout.
  • My friends, whose drinks it is live in Mt Florida. it's their 5 years in Scotland party.

  • I think we may need a male blogger.
  • Afternoon ladies and gents.

Long time lurker of the forum and most of your blogs (goanmad's especially) but a first time poster and blogger.

Alex - I received an email invite and I can't say I was too impressed. Feels like there's something missing but maybe it will improve?!

Douglas - It's great to have a fella here - loving your outfits!

I was hoping Douglas would be. Is it wrong of me to want to see him all dressed up? ;)

You might be disapointed - I am a big bloke and a bit rough round the edges.

I have a picture of me in gym gear on here somewhere.

    Hi all!!

    Some advice pls.

Well-chuffed (just watching Cilla on Loose Women :o and slipping back into the vernacular LOL) to find the same jacket I bought a few weeks ago, on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Planet-Red-Wool-Jacket-BNWT_W0QQitemZ110577615603QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=137399562321&rvr_id=137399562321&cguid=742464f11290a0aad337ddf7ff800921

Got mine for £7.99 in the chazza shop, as new! :j and I love red in the winter!

Now the plan was to change the buttons to something a bit more military style. What sort would be best do you think?

Was going to go for something sort of domed with a shank, but not sure, plus they're not as easy to find as I thought.

Don't know whether to go with gold or a sort of pewter??

It doesn't have any shoulder pads in and I think it probably should.

    Any thoughts welcome.
