Thanks for the offer goan, there are 8 buttons and the ones on atm are about 250mm diameter.
Argh! I've got 8 antique brass buttons on shanks but they only measure 175mm. I'm sure you'll find them on the market or if not why not buy a charity shop or armu surplus jacket with appropriate buttons adn snip them off? May be cheaper!
Douglas, I'm impressed you're up and dressed so early after a night in the pub. The real ale's still with me and I'm lounging in a vintage wrap trying to muster up the energy to get dressed and go on a charity shop trawl of King's Heath.0 -
Morning
Today I'm wearing New Look paisley tunic that Choccy bought and I copied, black leggings and black biker boots. Same black jewellery as Thursday as I'm liking those a lot at the minute.
I just ordered that Joe Browns dress. It was eating away at me. Just going to catch up my knitting orders today while the boys play on the xbox. I think we will walk into town later too as the Burtons is closing down and Carl is going to see if they have any basics in the sale.0 -
Goan- your life sounds so glamourous. *envy*0

Morning all
Just in jeans and a fitted tshirt for now as I'm doing nothing more interesting than popping to the library and then doing the mountain of ironing that's been building up for weeks. Will have to be a bit more creative later though as I'm going to a film noir themed promenade performance at my fave theatre and feel I should dress appropriately. I can only think of red lipstick...0 -

Wish you'd have mentioned it earlier, Alex! I could have loaned you my black velvet opera cape!
Elbow length gloves, hair in a French pleat or a chignon, lots of black eyeliner, clutch bag, a dress in red, purple, navy or black? Sounds fun!
Daisy - Not very glam if you could see me now! I've got another night out later.0 -
Hello all,
Welcome to the new posters.
Working all weekend, so no interesting outfit to speak of, just black trousers, black & white striped vest and purple boyfriend cardigan.
Accessorised with frizzy mop and grumpy tiredness.
If I have time this weekend, I'm going to attempt to make a dress again. The first attempt ended up a bit of a disaster so there's lots of adjustments to be made.
Have a good weekend all.0 -

Oh I've been to Kings Heath many years ago. A mate of mine lived in a communal house there. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

My hubby used to live in Kings Heath when I first met him.0

Evening all. I am so exhausted. My guides have been running the refreshments stall at the town festival in their town today, so we have been making bacon baps, tea, coffee abd sandwiches all day. Was seriously impressed by how well the girls did, and how many volunteers we had
but was still fairly tiring.
My outfit for the day was:
pink girlguiding centenary polo shirt
mustard/pink/blue circle skirt with Aztec-type print (primark)
grey flat thigh high boots
king grey cardi
mustard beret0
