Morning all. The day got off to a glorious start with a wonderful parcel in the post and the sun is shining so Alex is a happy girl
Char - I LOVE chunky tights. But then I do seem to have a bit of longing for schoolgirl style at the moment - it'll be tartan skirts ahoy in my wardrobe soonAnd I can comment on blogs from home now, woop! I think they must have fixed whatever bug was causing the problem.
OUtfit is:
50's style red floral dress - New Look via New Life shop
Black short sleeved cardi - Primark
Black tights (although it's actually warm enough not to need them)
Red pumps - DP
Cream floral ring - New Look
Cream beaded earrings - Accessorize0 -

today is officially my last day of 'owning' a preschooler. Sam starts school tomorrow so today is DVD and knitting day. I'm wearing yellow Uttam tunic with black leggings.
Eek Caroline, you must be scared/excited for tomorrow!0 -

It's really weird. He's been ready for so long as he is nearly 5, and has been at a brilliant nursery for the past 3 years that I don't think I will be worried, although I can't wait to seem him in his uniform. He's only treid it on one item at a time as I didn't want him to wear it all in one outfit before his first day!
When Jacob started I was in the middle of divorce and was having to work all the time to pay my bills so I didn't take him on his first week at all, my mum did. He didn't start in September either like all the other children, as we moved from a different county where they all started later so his missed his first term.
I'm going to have to take tissues though. I know Carl will cry, he's a big softie. Bless.:rotfl:0 -
I'm sticking with opaques this winter. I have a stash from last year.0

Morning/afternoon all,
Had to run some errands in town this morning, so am wearing:
Green empire line top (with vest underneath as it's low cut) - Wallis sale
Boot cut jeans - M&S
Bronze pumps - New Look
Purple belted mac - Debenhams sale
Not much jewellery, just silver studs and 2 silver rings.
Large sunglasses (the sun is out woo-hoo!)
Caroline - best wishes for little one for school tomorrow (hands you tissues)
Re tights: I only have black opaques, but would like to experiment this year as I'm planning on wearing more skirts. I'm rather full in the leg so would worry about thick tights making my legs look bigger, but I do like them. Unfortunately, navy and grey remind me of school and work uniforms.
Have a good day all.0 -
I don't know if guys are allowed on this thread but today I am wearing.
Dark grey 3 Button sack suit in wool.
Micro check button down collar shirt in pink and powder blue on a white background.
Charcoal satin tie, black and white Paisley pocket square.
Black toe cap monk shoes and black belt. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Red Shoes - Do give grey opaques another go, they're fab with navy blue and so much more interesting than black. My favourite opaques are the mustard ones Alex snaffled for me in Dotty P's sale, all my friends are dead envious and I'm constantly rummaging in their sale basket for another pair.
My woolly tights are usually under maxi dresses when it gets really cold, I'm not sure wether I'd show them off to the public.
Hoorah for the Royal Mail, Alex! My blog win of Chanel's Paradoxal nail polish has just arrived, I think I'm in lurve!0
