    Ice- Congratulations!!!!

Choccy- I would wear with tights and mary jane style shoes or boots- New Look have loads of light brown/ tan ones that would go, depending on the fit/ material I would possible put a long sleeved top underneath in the winter-looks quite versatile

Congratulations ice!! What lovely news :)

Fab dress Choccy. I reckon you could pair that with almost anything. Wedges or sandals will look good while we still have sunshine and pumps/Mary Janes/boots will all look great too. I like lola's idea of popping long sleeved t shirts under it too.
  • I really like that dress Choccy (too much! Topcashback when buying from New Look online!)

Congratulations Ice. having had a baby in 98, when you could only go to mothercare for maternity clothes and one in 2005 when there were many more shops I would reckon in 2010 you will be fine for fashionable clothes. H&M do reasonably priced maternity clothes. Don't listen to people who say just buy larger sizes because 90% of the time they won't fit properly, although you could buy the chunky knit cardis and tunics. Go for classic styles so you can keep them for next time. Leggings and jeans will be lifesavers as you can dress them up or down and you can also wear them after when getting back into shape. After my first I left hospital in my 'real' clothes but it took me 8 weeks after my second. And get good bras.

    Morning girls.

I think I tried on just about everything in my wardrobe trying to sort out an outfit for today and it all looked awful, gah! So I went for a totally mismatching option instead:

Blue skirt with white, green and blue sprig flower print - made it myself
    Blue vest top - Primark
Cardi with very fun cat and wine bottle pattern on it - Topshop originally but a gift from Char
    Black tights
    Black suede heels - George

Thanks for the information Caroline. H&M is not a shop I usually go to but I will check it out when the time comes that I cant fit into my normal clothes.

Just another question, I know its different for everyone but how many weeks were you ladies when you found your normal clothes were too tight?

  • ice, i was about 14-16 weeks when my regular clothes became 'snug' i adopted the bobble thing through a button hole. I didn't enjoy being pregnant and i think that showed in my clothes, i look back on pictures and my clothes were so bland, i also used scarves a lot. Perhaps invest your money in maternity bras (ones that you can nurse with-if your going to do that) size up your knickers.

I had my older boys in 95 and 96 and the choice was pretty poor, i had the little two in 2000, and 2003 and there was a noticble improvment in maternity clothes. I also think they can be picked up cheaply in places like next clearance. Em fro passion for fashion blog is pregnant, and i have to say she is rocking the maternity wear, check out her blog!!

Glorious weather today, pink linens (yawn) black vest (yawn) so bored of this, just when i was about to embrace autum!!
